Donald Trump reveals his two new nicknames for Kamala Harris... as Republican brands VP a 'DEI hire'

Donald Trump is slowly ditching his criticism of Joe Biden in exchange for attacking his new likely 2024 opponent Vice President Kamala Harris.

The former president is trying out some new monikers for the Democratic candidate – including putting the words 'lyin' and 'laffin' in front of her name on Truth Social and at his rallies.

But Trump has still not put to bed calling the current President 'crooked' and 'sleepy.'

Harris, who performed famously poorly in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, is taking over Biden's campaign after the President ended his reelection bid on Saturday and endorsed his No. 2.

But some Republicans say Harris was only selected for her current role because of DEI – the initialism for 'diversity, equity and inclusion' programs. And critics don't think the Democratic Party has the right to essentially ignore the votes of U.S. citizens by removing Biden and replacing him without an open process.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) called Harris a 'DEI hire' in an interview on Monday because Biden said during the 2020 election that he 'was going to hire a Black female for vice president.'

'What about white females? What about any other group?' Burchett added.

Burchett posted to X on Monday: 'The media propped up this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then dumped him for our DEI vice president.'

Trump has been flooding his Truth Social account with posts about 'lyin' Kamala Harris' ever since she took over Biden's campaign on Sunday.

'Lyin' Kamala Harris destroys everything she touches!' he wrote in a post on Tuesday.

In another, the former president questioned: 'Does Lyin' Kamala Harris think Joe Biden is fit to run the U.S.A. for the next six months? She must answer the question.'

'Now it appears Joe is delegating his Presidential Authority to unelected Washington Bureaucrats! He doesn't even trust his Vice President. WHO IS RUNNING THE COUNTRY?' he added.

In a post on Monday night, Trump wrote on his social media website: 'ABC Fake News is such a joke, among the absolute WORST in the business. They try to make Crooked Joe into a brave warrior because he didn't have the 'guts' to fight it out — He quit!'

'They then tried to make 'Sleepy' look like a great President - he was the WORST, and Lyin' Kamala into a competent person, which she is not.'

'ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, is not worthy of holding a Debate, of which I hope there will be many!'

Trump agreed to debate Biden in an event put on by ABC News in September, but is now pushing that a debate between himself and Harris be hosted by much more friendly right-leaning Fox News.
