Pulling a baseball cap over her blonde bob was always Princess Diana's ploy when attempting to go incognito.
Now Elizabeth Debicki, who won plaudits for her role as the late Princess in Netflix drama The Crown, appears to have borrowed the technique. But both are too famous to miss.
The Australian-born actress, 33, was spotted wearing a red baseball cap during a shopping trip in Central London with her rarely-seen partner Kristian Rasmussen. They are notoriously private and haven't spoken of their relationship.

Little is known about Kristian, who has no social media profile, nor about how they met, but they were first spotted holding hands in London in November 2022.
Kristian reportedly shuns the spotlight so much, he prefers to enter showbusiness events separately from Elizabeth.
In contrast to her role as Diana, she will soon play an 1980s porn film director in horror film MaXXXine, which also stars Lily Collins and Kevin Bacon.

Naomi Campbell has cut ties with A-list pal Sean 'P Diddy' Combs amid his fight against sex trafficking allegations. Naomi organised a lavish birthday party in London for the rapper last November.
Now sources say she feels used as Combs did not warn her a scandal was brewing.
Naomi, 53, was previously named in court papers as one of the celebs who flew on paedophile Jeffrey Epstein's private jet.
Rosie's trading on her beauty
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has joined up with investment firm The Equity Studio
Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 36, can add the term 'city slicker' to her CV.
The face of M&S has joined up with investment firm The Equity Studio to help back new wellness and beauty brands.
In January, I revealed that Rosie's own 'clean' beauty firm Rose Inc had sold at auction for £1.9 million after its US parent company Amyris filed for bankruptcy.
Let's hope everything with the latest venture is a little more rosy!
Amber sees red over copycat
Guangsheng Huang has set up a London-based firm in Amber Le Bon's name
Model Amber Le Bon might have a style all of her own – but that hasn't stopped one Chinese businessman apparently trying to imitate her.
Guangsheng Huang has set up a London-based firm in her name to sell goods online and via mail order – but without her permission.
I alerted the 34-year-old to the issue after I spotted Amber Le Bon Limited had just been registered at Companies House.
When I congratulated her, she replied: 'Anything sold from Amber Le Bon Ltd has absolutely nothing to do with me and Guangsheng Huang may be fraudulently about to use my name or likeness to sell things.'
Even billionaire John Caudwell has limits to his generosity. The founder of Phones4U tells me his son Jacobi wants a Rolls-Royce for his 20th birthday – but he may be disappointed with the result.
'I've got him a little Rolls-Royce,' John, 71, tells me, gesturing to indicate a miniature toy car.
'But he will have to do more for society than he is now to earn it!'
Jacobi has a long way to go to be anything like his dad, whose ball last week raised £1.2 million for the Caudwell Children charity that helps autistic and disabled youngsters.
Georgia: I really mean business
Georgia May Jagger is behind two enterprises: May Botanicals and Bleach London
Model Georgia May Jagger has been complaining that no one takes her seriously as a businesswoman.
The 32-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall is behind two enterprises: skincare firm May Botanicals, which she launched in October, and hair dye range Bleach London, of which she is co-owner.
But she says everyone thinks she's just the face of the brands.
Georgia explains: 'I think people assume – because I'm a model – that with my businesses, it's just an endorsement or something like that. It's been a bit more of a challenge to show people that I'm serious.'
Simon Mayo's 31-year career at the BBC was ultimately marred by the way he was treated by Radio 2 bosses – but that hasn't stopped his children following him through the doors of Broadcasting House.
Chatting on the Parenting Hell podcast last week, the presenter revealed two of his three kids now work for the Corporation.
His daughter Natasha commissions podcasts for Radio 4 and son Joe is a researcher 'elf' for QI.
Clearly neither heeded Dad's comments that working for the BBC was a 'soul destroying' process of jumping through hoops to get a show approved.
On Stage... It's Douglas The Third
Dylan Douglas is due to star in an upcoming play called Seagull Variations
Many offspring of the famous hate the 'nepo baby' tag that draws attention to their parents. But Dylan Douglas, the son of actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas and grandson of Kirk Douglas, has no gripes about his lineage – in fact he's reaping the rewards of inheriting their talents.
The 23-year-old is due to star in an upcoming play called Seagull Variations. And his parents are thrilled he is following in their footsteps.
Catherine commented on rehearsal pictures he posted online: 'So good. So happy I could get to see you in the play.'
Freud slips out of love
Bella Freud used this model in her clothing campaign. One fan said: 'This image is deeply disturbing'
When fashion designer Bella Freud split from her author husband James Fox in 2017, she took up with Taz Fustok, a Notting Hill artist more than 20 years her junior.
But I can reveal that relationship is now over and Bella, 62, is dating again. My spy spotted her getting cosy with a mystery man in a Central London pub last week.
Perhaps it is a welcome distraction from the backlash erupting over the gaunt model Bella used in her clothing campaign. One fan said: 'This image is deeply disturbing and belongs in another century.'
