Ex-Trump aide Rep. Max Miller files for divorce from mother of their newborn years after 'abuse' claims by former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham

Former Trump aide Rep. Max Miller, 35, has filed for divorce from his wife Emily Moreno, 30, less than one year after the birth of their newborn baby.

According to a court filing in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, first obtained by DailyMail.com, the Ohio freshman congressman is divorcing his wife Emily after two years of marriage.

The unraveling of their marriage comes 10 months after the birth of their firstborn daughter Ruth. Miller had posted an Instagram on November 4, 2023 introducing 'our beautiful daughter Ruth' saying at the time that her birth is a reminder of the 'importance of family.'

Emily is also the daughter and former campaign manager of Bernie Moreno, who is the GOP nominee for Senate taking on Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in one of the most competitive and expensive races in the country.

Moreno and Miller got engaged in 2021 after his messy relationship with ex-Melania spokeswoman and White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham came to an end after allegations of 'abuse.'

President Donald Trump spoke at their wedding a year later in August 2022 at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club. He sang the praises of Max, one of his favorite former staffers whom he endorsed in his pursuit for Congress.

Miller's relationship with Grisham came to an end in 2020 when he allegedly pushed her up against a wall and slapped her after she accused him of cheating, sources told Politico.

The pair were believed to have been together for 18 months and even got a French bulldog named Gus, before the situation is believed to have turned sour.

Grisham originally declined to comment on the allegations and Miller denied the assault allegations.

She also accused Miller of taking the bulldog Gus that he got her as a present after they split up.

In October 2021 Grisham, 46, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post claiming that the Trumps 'didn't seem to care' when she told them her relationship with Miller had turned 'abusive.'

Miller then filed a libel suit against Grisham in 2021 which has since been dismissed 'with prejudice' before going to a jury trial.

Fabulist liar and disgraced Rep. George Santos called Miller a 'woman beater' last year.

'You sir are a crook,' Miller said on the House floor about Santos, earning his ire.

Santos fired back: 'My colleague wants to come up here, call me a crook. The same colleague who's accused of being a woman beater. Are we really going to ignore the facts that we all have pasts?'

Miller's divorce case with Emily Moreno, first reviewed by DailyMail.com, was filed on August 27 and is designated under 'Divorce-Children.'

According to the docket, court summons were sent to Emily on Wednesday. She did not respond to requests for comment.

There is also a 'mutual' restraining order between the two parties in place.

In addition, the judge who was originally assigned the case, Tonya R. Jones, removed herself to avoid 'impropriety or conflict of interest.'

Bernie Moreno's campaign communications director Reagan McCarthy told DailyMail.com: 'Bernie is very sad their marriage worked out as it did, but it’s a private family matter and he will not be making any further comments.'

A spokesperson for Miller did not respond to a request for comment.

Miller and Moreno both grew up in the Cleveland area, he in the affluent Shaker Heights suburb and she in Westlake.

Miller is an heir of the prominent Forest City Enterprises real estate company and Moreno is the daughter of a luxury auto dealer-turned-Senate candidate who suspended his campaign in February after meeting with Trump.

The pair met while working on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio's presidential campaign in 2015.

They dated briefly before parting ways when Miller left to work on Trump's campaign and Moreno left to work for Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. They rekindled when Moreno left Johnson to work for a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm.

Since then, Moreno has created a dating app for Trump supporters and worked for her father's Senate campaign while making appearances with Miller throughout his campaign.

The wedding was loaded with right-wing political powerhouses, including former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell, former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway and even Trump himself.

An attendee at their wedding told DailyMail.com that Trump in his speech praised the groom, his a former aide who at the time was running for his now-occupied Ohio House seat.

Trump used the speech to announce that he plans to bury the hatchet and endorse one of his Republican foes Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

'He told Max let your governor know I'm going to support him and he trashed the Democratic candidate, who was mayor and was nasty to him when he visited Ohio,' said the guest.

'He said to Max, let him know I'm going to be backing him all the way.'

Miller previously dated Stephanie Grisham, the former White House press secretary. Their relationship came to an end in 2020

Maintaining close ties to the former president, Miller scored an enthusiastic Trump endorsement in his race

He offered no further clues for his reversal but the decision comes after DeWine secured the party nomination in May.

He fought off three challengers who positioned themselves to his right and who desperately courted Trump.

Although the former president avoided endorsing anyone, he made clear his disdain for the incumbent.

Ten days before the primary, while stumping for Republican candidates in Ohio, he laid into DeWine.

'No matter what happened, we had this terrible governor that you had. Terrible, terrible guy,' said Trump. 'And he was fighting us.'

Trump had suggested he might back anyone who challenged DeWine for the nomination, after the Ohio governor acknowledged Biden as president-elect a week after the result was announced.

'Who will be running for governor of the great state of Ohio? Will be hotly contested!' he tweeted.

And after January 6, DeWine said it was time to move on.

'Joe Biden has been elected president of the United States and is going to be sworn-in in two weeks,' he said.

Ahead of the election he even encouraged a nearly all-mail election, at a time when Trump was raising concerns that absentee ballots were riddled with fraud.

For many Trump supporters that has made him the ultimate RINO - Republican in Name Only.

The wedding guest said the former president was on fine form on Saturday evening, although he declined invitations to join the dancing.
