A forgiving boss is standing up for her employees who was seen losing his cool during a confrontation with a woman over a parking spot in Newport Beach, California.
The original video, which ultimately went viral, was shot in early August and saw her worker Nigel Ford argue with a women called Manuela.
Manuela had been parking her car on the street, but had jumped into a spot that Nigel had been aiming for.
At one stage Nigel could be seen kicking and slamming the vehicle with his body as he was filmed.
The video was eventually seen by Nigel's boss, Deena Saunders-Green, who runs a media company in nearby Long Beach, California.
Deena was bombarded with messages from people demanding Nigel be fired for his actions, but in a sincere video message posted in response she has explained her reasons in some detail as to why Nigel has been kept on the payroll.
Deena Saunders-Green, 51, who runs a media company in California is defending her decision not to fire one of her workers after he was caught on camera threatening a woman driver

'This young man? Yes I do know him. He works here at a company that I started. Was it bad behavior? Absolutely. Will I fire him as a result? Absolutely not,' Deena began.
'And why won’t I fire this man?' she asked, 'because he shows up on regular basis to do the work that it takes to work with black and brown artists that have been impacted by these systems like foster care.
'Did he have a terrible moment? Absolutely. Why won’t I fire him? Because I know his character,' she explained.
Deena then revealed how she had received some frightening messages after coming to Nigel’s defense.
One read: ‘F***ing loser! I hope you get the s*** beat out of you daily cause you a f***ing worthless.’
Another threatened: ‘You better hide and delete this account if I find you I’m gonna kill you.’
Nigel could be seen remonstrating with the woman during the incident last month in Newport Beach, California
In the original minute-long video, Nigel can be seen walking around from one side of the car to the other as he tries to explain to the drive that he had been looking to park in the same spot.
At one stage he can be seen kicking the wheels of the vehicle and then using his body to shove it.
'This is crazy,' the female driver inside the vehicle says. 'So you’re gonna hit me or what?'
'Wherever you work is really gonna love this,' another woman in the vehicle can be heard saying.
Many commenting on the video were not impressed with Nigel's conduct.
'I hope he's getting educated that he shouldn't approach a woman like that and be violent against her car. She's next. I bet he does it again to a girlfriend, wife of child,' wrote one.
'I just want thank you for posting this video. Knew him in irl (in real life) & he was very violent. This is normal for him. I'm glad u're ok and handled that so well,' added another.
Nigel's boss, Deena, has decided not to fire him suggesting that 'everyone has bad days'
Nigel could be seen moving from one side of the car to the other as he tried to argue with the woman driver who kept her windows closed throughout
Meanwhile, his boss, Deena, went on to explain how she believes the pandemic goes some way to explaining people’s seemingly irrational behavior from time to time.
‘We all survived a collective trauma that was the pandemic and when the numbers came down they all said “go back to work, everything’s fine, everything’s normal”, it’s not back to normal - we are not okay.
‘Can you give people a little bit of grace?’ Deena asked viewers
She went on to reveal how Nigel became concerned that his outburst captured on video might see the media company he works for face bad publicity. Nevertheless, Deena offers a dose of humanity in her take on the incident.
'We all have had moments where if someone would have caught us on video we would like like freaking lunatics. Stay out of my DMs. I’m not firing him because he shows up and he does the work - the work that a lot of other people aren’t willing to do.'
Her response drew praise from many online commenters.
'THIS IS A [sic] EMPLOYER. This. WOW. You are amazing,' one wrote.
'This is the most realistic, humanistic, and genuine response I have watched on this app,' another added.
'We all have bad days, that’s awesome you gave him grace,' added a third.
Through the video Deena continued to show a great deal of empathy for her worker
Later in a second video, Deena addressed the situation once again as she had been bombarded by messages calling on her to fire her worker - but it only served to stiffen her resolve.
'I don’t tolerate or agree with any type of crazy behavior but I know we are all human and I know that if somebody bumps me with their car I’m gonna respond. And if a video is taken of just my response without context…,’ she states before breaking off noting how the video only saw the tail end of a conflict.
'Y’all, a lot of people are struggling with their mental health right now. The things that people are saying they want to do to this young man because they saw the tail end of a video. We’re not okay,' she said.
Throughout the video Deena continued to show a great deal of empathy for her worker
‘I wish some of you guys would advocate for women like that in real life honestly.'
She went on to say that she believes Nigel does not deserve to be receiving death threats and leaves viewers with a final reprimand.
'If you have video showing him being crazy or doing something else under another circumstance then we’ll talk. I’m not disrupting our operations, this young man’s life which so many of you are doing.'
Nigel has since shared his side of the story and offering an apology and explaining how before the video began he was actually hit by the vehicle..
'I apologized to the girls for making them feel threaten,' he wrote online. 'For some context the girls had stolen the spot that we were waiting on for a minute. They sped ahead to steal the spot.
'I got out of the car with the intention to clear up the confusion. Instead of having a civil conversation, they continued to drive forward and hit me with their car before starting the video. What y’all watched in the video is my reaction to being hit.'
