General Hospital star David Lautman has just set the bar even higher for unique proposals, with a video of his proposal to Megan Li Wang going viral.

The 35-year-old actor and his new fiancee first met on a commercial for Lenovo laptops that they filmed a few years ago.

Lautman decided to film a new scene that he added on to the commercial to propose to his girlfriend.

After seeing the start of the commercial and realizing that she might not be getting paid for it, Wang recorded it... not knowing she'd film her own proposal video.

Wang shared the video that she recorded on her TikTok, which had amassed over 18 million views over the past two days, and she also recorded a video explaining how he did it.

Wang shared the video that she recorded on her TikTok , which had amassed over 18 million views over the past two days, and she also recorded a video explaining how he did it

The actress captioned the video, 'I accidentally recorded my own proposal bc I thought an old commercial I did was re-running without paying me.'

The ad shows both Lautman and Wang using the Lenovo laptops, as Wang is heard saying, 'Why are they still airing this? I have to record this because why are they still airing this?'

The original ad ends and cuts to a new scene where a voice over artist says, "Is there anything you want to say, David?'

The video then cuts to David wearing the same light blue dress shirt he was wearing in the commercial, as he feigns confusion.

'Hurry up, man, commercials are expensive!' the voice over guy says, as David asks, 'Who is talking right now?'

'I'm the new voice over artist for this spot, Caleb S, you can find me on Fiver, but this is about you, David, is there anything you want to say?' Caleb says.

A confused David then delivers a line from the ad, but Caleb says, 'No, you idiot, that was my line! Anything to... her?'

He asks if he wants to go to craft services and he says no as David says, 'We kind of just met two days ago at the workout fitting... but maybe future me has something he wants to say,' as he points to the camera.

Caleb says, 'You're finally starting to get it, good. Now you're gonna need this too,' as a ring box materializes and he "throws" it at the real David sitting with Megan.

The real David "catches" the box and laughs, saying it was 'so hard' to get her to watch this.'

'Well, we met on this commercial, so I thought it would only make sense if we had an extended version,' David said to Megan, while getting on one knee.

'Megan Wang, will you marry me?' he said while laughing, as Megan said through laughter, 'Yeah sure,' as he put the ring on her finger.'

Lautman shared the news on Instagram, with the caption, 'She said, “Yes.” Well, technically, she said, “...I don’t know who you are, yeah, sure!” But we’ll attribute that to adrenaline, shock, surprise, and uncontrollable laughter from the proposal. (Full video on her TikTok.) Megan, every day with you is easy; filled with joy, laughter, happiness, and of course, plenty of cats. Looking forward to forever together!'

She shared the video on Instagram as well, which was captioned, 'I said yass! This relationship has been so easy because it’s right. You never get offended by my comments, instead you insult me back even better. You understand me and most importantly, you understand my cats. You’ve given them a dad they’ve always wanted. I can’t wait to have more cats with you. @davidlautman.'

Wang also took to TikTok to explain how Lautman made the video, first showing the original Lenovo ad they filmed two years ago.

The video was in response to a TikTok user who asked if he filmed the engagement part when they made the video because he looks 'the same.'

She then showed green screen video of David filming the new scene, with Megan adding, 'So David, being the actor that he is, he gets a green screen and films a whole scene for me. This man wrote a script,' she says, showing the script pages

'That's when we met and we were like, "Oh my God, wow, we like get along," and a couple months later, slid in some DM's, it was a whole thing.'

She then showed green screen video of David filming the new scene, with Megan adding, 'So David, being the actor that he is, he gets a green screen and films a whole scene for me. This man wrote a script,' she says, showing the script pages.

Megan then reveals the new voice over guy is really named Caleb S and shows the message David sent him on Fiver, asking him to recreate the original voice over man's voice.

She adds that the couple were in the middle of watching the Hulu series Dave and he even recorded 'this Hulu beginning' to have it coincide with the show and make it look like it's a real ad before an episode of Dave.

Megan explains that the commercial she filmed two years ago was only supposed to air for a year, so she thought, 'these b***hes didn't pay me for this and I'm recording it because I needed it as evidence to ask for more money!'

The actress said that when she got to the part where he took the ring out, she was 'so stunned' that her hand is 'glued to my phone' and she's recording the whole thing because she was 'so stunned.'

She concluded, 'And this thing just ended up being so funny because I literally made a free ad for them, like what the f**k?'
