George Clooney made a bold offer to Donald Trump on Tuesday night in the latest round of their political jarring: 'I'll stay out of it - if you do too.'

Clooney, who has long had political aspirations of his own, drew Trump's ire with an op-ed earlier this year in which he begged Biden - then still a candidate - to drop out of the race to give Democrats a fighting chance.

Trump was furious, penning a scathing Truth Social post telling the Hollywood A-lister to stick to what he's good at.

Last night, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Clooney offered a truce - on one condition.

'You know what, I will if he does,' Clooney said, getting roaring applause from the studio audience.

Kimmel took it a step further, asking Clooney, 63, if he'd ever thought about writing another op-ed saying Trump should drop out.

'Have you thought about writing an op-ed in the Times asking him to step down because it worked once, why not try it again?' the liberal host joked.

George Clooney finally responded to Donald Trump's call for him 'get out of politics'

Clooney only responded with a bit of sarcasm, saying, 'He's a big fan of mine.'

Clooney's op-ed against the current president was one of the many dominoes to fall in Biden's spiraling campaign.

Some other notable setbacks included Barack Obama privately saying Biden should 'seriously consider' whether he should stay in the race and dozens of elected Democrats publicly and privately saying the 81-year-old should step aside.

Clooney wrote the piece on July 10, almost two weeks after Biden's disastrous debate performance with Trump.

On the afternoon of July 21, Biden dropped out of the presidential race via a social media post before quickly endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him as the party nominee.

The former president did not hold back as he tore into the double Oscar winner

Kimmel asked Clooney, who has hosted fundraisers for Biden, whether he thought his op-ed influenced the election in a major way.

'It may well have changed the world,' Kimmel argued. 'It had an enormous impact on the presidential election. Right?'

'No, I don't know that that's true,' Clooney said, before reiterating his earlier praise for Biden for his 'selfless act' to let go of power.

Kimmel also pointed out the potential damage Clooney was willing to inflict on Biden's campaign had the president opted not to step down.

'What are you getting at, Jimmy?' Clooney cut him off, smiling.

'I'm getting at, you took a big swing and thank god you hit that ball out,' Kimmel said.

'It could have gone very bad. It could still go badly,' Clooney said, seeming to acknowledge the relatively close race between Harris and Trump.
