An 18-year-old Brampton, Ontario woman who allegedly stole a Porsche and then ran over its owner while posing as a prospective buyer was arrested on Thursday.

Sarah Badshaw’s mugshot was taken after she turned herself in - just a day after police released a video of the horrific crime.

The Brampton-native has since been charged with four offenses related to the theft of the Porsche, including dangerous driving causing bodily harm, vehicle theft, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with no license.

Police have also revealed that Badshaw is ‘linked to numerous investigations’ and is wanted by other GTA police services in connection with separate investigations.

Shockingly, Badshaw works part-time as a babysitter with an online profile offering her services and claiming she'd be a great addition to any family.

Badshaw wrote: 'Hello there my name is Sarah Badshaw I am 18 years old currently still in school.

'I am very hard-working I come from a very big family of 8 siblings I love children I love the outdoors and I love to make new little friends and help these little friends grow and help them with whatever they need.

'if you are reading my profile, please do consider me I am positive to help your family grow:)'

Cops in Brampton also expect to make additional arrests as they seek an expensive gray SUV - a Bentley Bentayga - described as an accomplice vehicle.

The shocking security footage captured the moment Badshaw ran over the Porsche-owner after she arrived at the victim's home in response to an advertisement for his SUV on AutoTrader.

As she arrived at the home on September 6 she can be heard in Ring camera footage telling the owner: 'Hello, I'm here for the Porsche.' before asking to ‘take a look’ as she waits for her dad.

The video cuts to the driveway of the victim’s residence - near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Eglinton Avenue in Mississauga - as she and the owner checked out the 2022 Porsche Cayenne, when she decided to make a break for it seconds after the owner left the passenger side.

The victim, who has not been named, appeared to suspect that the woman was taking off with his car as soon as he exited the vehicle, as he tried to open the driver's side door before moving to the back.

As he got to the back of the vehicle, the woman reversed aggressively out onto the street, dragging the victim along with her.

He appeared to be caught by one of the rear wheels and was left sprawling in the street.

The victim told CTV News Toronto that he sustained injuries to his elbow, hands and legs, and required medical attention after the incident.

Peel police have since shared their gratitude of the ‘power of social media’ in helping them catch the suspect.

Constable Tyler Bell told CP24: ‘We published that video on Wednesday afternoon and within 24 hours it had been shared 95,000 times.

‘We then received numerous tips from the public which allowed us to identify her very rapidly and effectively pressure her to surrender to the police,’ he added.
