A group of men in Argentina sparked outrage on social media after a clip was shared of them using a snake as a skipping rope.

Two of the unidentified men were seen gripping the huge boa constrictor by the neck and tail, as a third man stood between them on a dirt track in rural Argentina.

They began to swing the snake violently, allowing the third man to hop up and down as the snake's body passed underneath him.

All three of the men as well as the cameraman can be heard guffawing as the helpless animal is forced to endure the treatment.

The ordeal continues for a few seconds until the jumper catches his feet on the boa and tumbles to the ground laughing.

The snake's mouth can be seen wide open, presumably attempting to bite the man gripping it tightly by the neck.

The participants were labelled animal abusers by shocked viewers.

One comment read: 'But what will happen to them? This is animal abuse.'

Another wrote: 'And we wonder why men live shorter lives.'

A third added: 'What idiots, you shouldn't do that with an animal,' while another said: 'The only acceptable ending to this video is for the boa to swallow all of them.'

'This is abuse and not at all funny,' another concluded.
