A Guatemalan migrant woman was found dead after falling from a 30-foot border wall near San Diego. - after screaming for help for 20 minutes.

According to Customs and and Border Protection, the 24-year-old - who has not been named - screamed for help while hanging on before she dropped and hit her head on the concrete on March 21.

The incident took place at the wall about three miles west of the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, one of three ports in the San Diego-Tijuana area, according to a Border Patrol investigation. Migrants falling to their death has turned into an epidemic in the region since Joe Biden took office.

Around 10:27pm on March 21, agents received a call saying a group was moving toward the wall, which is actually a combination of two walls, built with metal posts and an electrical conduit on top.

Border Patrol agents spotted the group between the two walls and noticed the Guatemalan woman on top of the secondary wall, warning her not to climb down as they called for help from the San Diego Fire Department.

However, authorities claim she continued to try and scale the wall but found herself unable to make it down from the fence.

The migrant woman began to call for help, with a border agent reassuring her that it was coming.

A ladder was offered around 10:35pm by someone not identified. However, the agent told them they couldn't use them until the fire department showed up.

The agent was also in the process of detaining a second migrant who was walking along the fence on its south side.

Another agent followed shortly after with a fire crew at the opposite side of the woman calling for help.

The second agent and fire crew turned around to drive to a gate closer to the side of the wall where the woman was hanging but the truck was unable to access it.

By 10:48pm, over 20 minutes after she first cried for help, the migrant woman said she couldn't hold any longer, with the agent desperately trying to assure her help was on the way.

Just then, the second agent made it to the side of the wall from which the woman hung. Though both agents told her a fire truck was coming, she reiterated that she could not hold on any longer.
