Veteran actress Barbara Eden's charm and beauty is proving to be as eternal as her iconic television character almost 60 years after the role catapulted her to fame.

The I Dream of Jeannie star, 92, appeared as sprightly and youthful as ever as she stepped out for dinner in Los Angeles, DailyMail.com photos show.

Eden was spotted leaving celebrity hotspot The Grill On The Alley in Beverly Hills where she enjoyed a meal with two friends.

She was snapped in front of the restaurant chatting with a girlfriend as she waited for the valet to bring her car around.

Her shoulder length hair was just as blonde as it was back in her TV heyday, with wispy bangs covering her forehead.

Barbara Eden flaunted her youthful appearance as she stepped out for dinner with friends in LA on Sunday ahead of her 93rd birthday

She wore a blue and white striped boat neck shirt, white split-front slacks, and blue and tan wedge heeled shoes.

She accessorized her look with beige quilted Chanel handbag and large sparkling hoop earrings.

Amazingly, Eden will celebrate her 93rd birthday on Friday, but appears decades younger.

And even at her age, she was still recognized by fans on Sunday, including one  who stopped dead in their tracks before saying: 'Oh my God, it's Jeannie!'

She stayed true to her well-known charming persona, replying: 'Yes, that's me!'

The two girlfriends were joined at the restaurant for dinner by a male friend who was seen smiling as Eden graciously interacted with fans.

Finally the valet brought their baby blue Bentley convertible around to the front and the group said their 'goodbyes' before going their separate ways.

'Let's do this again soon,' Eden was heard telling her pals.

In interviews, Barbara attributes her youthful appearance to walking, stretching and weight training.

She told Closer magazine back in 2019: 'Everything in moderation. Don't limit yourself, but don't overdo it!'

While she enjoys wine and chocolate, she says she burns off those calories in the gym, admitting she has a personal trainer.

The Grill On The Alley opened its doors forty years ago and has attracted the power lunch and dinner crowd ever since.

Barbara and Jon have been dining there for years and the staff knew them both by name and made sure they got into their car safely.

Barbara began her career in 1956 with a string of guest spots on TV shows, most notably on I Love Lucy on Season the six episode 'Country Club Dance.'

She played the sexy young ingénue Diana Jordan who caused Lucy and Ethel's husbands Ricky Ricardo and Fred Mertz to suddenly come alive at what they thought would be a boring event.
