A 24-year-old illegal migrant has been indicted over serial child rapes that took place on posh Martha's Vineyard  - the Massachusetts getaway beloved by the rich and famous.

Warley Neto, a Brazilian national, who had been living illegally in the country since 2018, was charged with five counts of rape of a child and five counts of enticing a child under 16-years-old.

On August 23, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) went to the island  to arrest Neto at Dukes County Superior Court in Edgartown.

Last year, the illegal alien was arrested in another incident by Edgartown police on charges of strangulation, assault and battery on a family or household member and threat to commit a crime.

In April, he was sentenced to a year in jail on the charges.

A month later, a grand jury returned indictments against him on five charges of child rape and five charges of enticing a child under 16. He was arraigned in May on the charges, The Vineyard Gazette reported.

According to officials, Neto unlawfully entered the United States near Paso Del Norte, Texas in March 2018.

The following day, the United States Border Patrol served the illegal alien a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge, who released him from custody three days later.

On February 18, 2023, ERO lodged an immigration detainer against Neto with the Dukes County Jail and House of Correction after he was arrested by the Edgartown Police Department for strangulation or suffocation, assault and battery on a family household member, and threat to commit crime.

In June 2023, the Edgartown District Court found Neto guilty his crime and he was sentenced to 364 days behind bars, but suspended all but 90 days of the sentence.

These charges were elevated to the Dukes County Superior Court.

The Dukes County Superior Court indicted Neto four days later on the current charges - five counts of rape of a child and five counts of entice of child under 16-years-old.

'Warley Neto allegedly repeatedly assaulted a Massachusetts child and represents a significant threat to the safety of our neighborhood,''  ERO Boston Field Officer Director Todd Lyons stated in a news release.

He further stated that 'too often local jurisdictions refuse to honor immigration detainers and release dangerous offenders back into the community to reoffend.'

'ERO Boston will continue to apprehend and remove the most egregious noncitizen offenders from New England.”

Neto is scheduled for a pretrial hearing in superior court on October 24.
