As reports surfaced of this happening across other cinemas in India, Salman Khan was quick to take to social media to condemn the action.

He wrote on X: 'I'm hearing about fireworks inside theaters during Tiger3. This is dangerous. Let's enjoy the film without putting ourselves and others at risk. Stay safe.'

Individuals had been expecting to view the new Tiger 3 film, the third installment from the YRF franchise, with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

According to the Press Trust of India, the Maharashtra Police is probing the incident.

They are currently in the process of registering an offence under sections 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code.

This is not the first time that fans of the Bollywood actor have attempted such a stunt.

In 2021, following the release of Antim: The Final Truth, several clips of fans bursting firecrackers inside cinema halls went viral.

Indeed, Khan issued a statement in response at the time, telling fans: 'Request all my fans not to take firecrackers inside the auditorium as it could prove to be a huge fire hazard thereby endangering your lives and also others.
