Inside Dave Grohl's VERY star-studded love life: Twice-married rock legend has had rumored romances with Christina Aguilera, Winona Ryder, and more - decades prior to secret baby bombshell

Dave Grohl has admitted to cheating on his wife Jordyn Blum and fathering a secret baby.

The Foo Fighters singer, 55, made the admission on a statement posted to Instagram on Tuesday.

The statement read: 'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

'I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.'

Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters - Violet, Harper and Ophelia.

But prior to beginning a relationship with Blum, Grohl was romantically linked to a number of celebrities.

Inside Dave Grohl's star-studded love life - from rumored flings with Christina Aguilera and Winona Ryder to relationships with alt-rock leading ladies

The former Nirvana drummer has dated Veruca Salt's Louise Post, L7's Jennifer Finch, snowboarder Tina Basich - and has also had rumored romances with Christina Aguilera and Winona Ryder.

But Grohl has shut down rumors he dated Christina, with the rocker clarifying he was not romantically involved with the singer during a radio station interview, Blabbermouth reported back in 2002.

Christina's website at the time also squashed the Grohl dating rumor, according to Rolling Stone.

As far as real romances, Grohl dated Louise Post, a vocalist and guitarist for Veruca Salt following the end of his marriage to Jennifer Youngblood in 1997.

Grohl divorced Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to infidelities during their three year marriage - per The Guardian.

His relationship with Post served as the inspiration for the iconic Foo Fighters track, Everlong, and in 2021 she opened up about her contribution to the track and what Grohl was whispering during the song.

Sharing a rough-cut sample of Everlong to her Instagram, she wrote in the caption: 'I sang these back-ups over the phone at 2am after being woken up from a deep sleep in Chicago by DG who was tracking the vocals for "Everlong" in LA.

'He wanted me to sing the doo-doo’s, which were inspired by our song “Shimmer Like a Girl”. While I was at it, I wrote a harmony for the chorus and sang that too.

'The whispered section of this song was originally the dream I was having when the phone rang. It was a dream about us. He later removed it and replaced with his own whispers, one which was a love letter to me.'

Aguilera, pictured in 2002, was rumored to be dating Grohl but both she and the rocker shut down the speculation

But after a year together they split - Grohl allegedly ended their relationship so he could pursue Winona Ryder, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Post was seemingly inspired by the split to write several tracks about it, including Disconnected, however she later suggested the lyrics weren't actually about Grohl.

She also insisted they were now friends.

'People definitely read things into my songs. In interviews, any mention of him pisses me off. It was a private relationship, but it got so much publicity. I didn't mean for it to happen. I'm friends with him now,' she told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2003.

Grohl was also in a relationship with Jennifer Finch, a bass player in the all-female punk rock band L7.

Their bands were in similar social scenes, and they dated shortly after Grohl joined Nirvana as their drummer, according to Biography.

Finch recalled seeing Nirvana rocket to fame following the release of their album Nevermind in a documentary about her band, L7: Pretend We're Dead.

'And it blew up,' she said, according to Grunge. 'Everywhere I go, everywhere I turn, I see this f***ing face," Finch said. "Frankly, I'm sick of it.'

Grohl was also in a relationship with professional snowboarder Tina Basich in the late 90s.

They dated for two years before he ultimately broke up with her.

She claimed Grohl cheated on her in her 2003 memoir, Pretty Good for a Girl: The Autobiography of a Snowboarding Pioneer.

'I don’t know how anyone in his profession can have a normal relationship with a girlfriend…or two, as it turned out. I found out secondhand, through the grapevine, when it seemed like everyone else in the world knew about it but me,' she wrote, according to Page Six.

'Breakups suck. But Rockstar exits are the worst. All I got was a five-minute phone call from him, after five weeks of me calling and trying to get ahold of him because I just had to know if these rumors were true and had to hear it straight from the source.

She claimed she received 'nothing' from Grohl as he 'dropped off the planet' - yet was 'everywhere else' due to his rock star career.
