Inside the fascinating lives of Clint Eastwood's eight kids who he fathered with SIX different women: From the daughter he didn't know about until 30 years after she was born to his actor son who insists he got 'no handouts'

8 months ago 45

While acclaimed actor and director Clint Eastwood is best known for his award winning films, his rollercoaster ride love life often overshadowed his impressive strides in the movie industry.

The Hollywood legend, now 93, went through multiple failed marriages, faced numerous allegations of infidelities, and fathered eight children with six different women over the years.

But despite being embroiled in scandal after scandal and earning a fierce reputation as a womanizer, it's been said that Clint was an extremely dedicated father who worked tirelessly to protect each of his children and give them as normal of a childhood as possible.

He raised his kids on a ranch in Carmel, California, far away from the razzle and dazzle of Hollywood, where they were surrounded by nature and animals.

The actor and director gave almost all of his kids roles in his movies - but many of them didn't make it in the industry and ultimately left Hollywood. He's seen with three of his kids

One of his sons, Scott, once reflected on his upbringing, 'There were no handouts. It wasn't like that.

'It was like, "Get a job. You want something, go out and get a job and make a career for yourself."'

But who exactly are Clint's eight kids and what do they do for work now? FEMAIL has broken down everything we know about his enormous brood

His daughter Morgan has also insisted, 'I had an average American childhood for the most part.

'I think a big part of that was due to being raised in a small town away from the spotlight.'

While Clint did his best to shield his kids from the public eye when they were little, he did just the opposite once they got older.

In fact, he gave almost all of his children - except for his eldest daughter, Laurie Murray, who was put up for adoption and didn't find out the star was her dad until decades later - roles in his movies when it came time for them to start their careers.

And while he may have helped them get their foot in the door, most of them ultimately didn't make it in the industry and left Hollywood to pursue other careers.

But their departures from the world of acting hasn't dampened the public's immense interest into their lives.

Most recently, his daughter, Francesca, went viral after she shared some snaps of herself posing in a piercing red swimsuit, and many people on the web couldn't believe how stunning she looked.

But who exactly are Clint's eight kids and what do they do for work now? FEMAIL has broken down everything we know about his enormous brood - from stunning model Francesca to actor Scott.

Laurie Murray: Clint fathered a daughter in the 1950s during an extramarital affair, but only found out about her decades later when she reached out to him

Long before he was even famous, Clint fell in love with a University of California student named Margaret 'Maggie' Johnson. They are seen together in 1960

The two (seen in 1971) met on a blind date in 1953 - right after Clint, then 23, was discharged from the military and five years before he received his breakthrough role in Rawhide

Long before he was even famous, Clint fell in love with a University of California student named Margaret 'Maggie' Johnson.

The two met on a blind date in 1953 - right after Clint, then 23, was discharged from the military and five years before he received his breakthrough role in the CBS series Rawhide.

While he was dating Maggie, Clint continued to see other women. And it was then that he fathered his first child - a daughter named Laurie - with a Seattle-based woman who has not been identified. Laurie is seen with the actor in 2018

Clint told author Richard Schickel for his book Clint Eastwood: A Biography that while he and Maggie 'hit it off right away,' tying the knot just six months after they met, he continued to see other women throughout their relationship.

It was then that he fathered his first child - a daughter named Laurie, who was born and given up for adoption without his knowledge - with a Seattle-based woman who has not been identified.

A friend of Laurie's later told DailyMail.com that she didn't know her dad was the Hollywood legend until more than 30 years later, when she went on a hunt to find her biological parents.

She said Laurie reached out to the Academy Award-winning actor after making the discovery in the late '80s, who had no idea that she even existed.

But the two have since established a close relationship, bonding over their mutual love of golf and the outdoors, and even going on family vacations together.

She has been married for several decades to a man named Lowell Thomas Murray III; they share two children together. Clint is seen with one of her kids

'Laurie had been really interested in finding out who her real parents were and hired someone to help her,' the insider said.

'When they found the paperwork, her biological mother had written down Clint Eastwood's name. From what it appeared, Clint had no idea that she was even pregnant.'

They explained that the news 'came as a great shock to Laurie,' but that Clint 'was extremely receptive to her and the situation.'

'Laurie and her family are wealthy in their own right,' they added. 'So it wasn't a situation, which I'm sure someone like Clint is used to, of someone crawling out of the woodwork looking for money.

'Laurie is a very nice woman and very private, she definitely doesn't go around telling people this.'

Laurie, now 70, was pictured attending the Oscars in 2004 with Clint, and was seen supporting the actor alongside his seven other kids at the premiere for his movie The Mule back in 2018.

She is believed to have worked as an elementary teacher at a private school before retiring, and has been married for several decades to a man named Lowell Thomas Murray III; they share two children together.

Her husband hails from a successful family who ran a timber company, called Murray Pacific, for more than a century.

But in 2015, Murray-Pacific sold its timber lands to a California company, and it is now an investment firm.

Kimber Eastwood: Clint welcomed his second daughter who attempted to follow in his footsteps, dabbling in acting and producing before eventually becoming a Hollywood makeup artist

In 1959, while he was married to Maggie, Clint met Roxanne Tunis - a stuntwoman who worked regularly on the show Rawhide - and the two soon became embroiled in a 14-year love affair

The relationship resulted in the birth of Clint's second child, a daughter named Kimber, in 1964. They're seen together in 2018

The relationship resulted in the birth of Clint's second child, a daughter named Kimber, in 1964.

The actor claimed in Clint Eastwood: A Biography that he had no idea that Roxanne had given birth until his daughter was one years old, and that the shock revelation 'knocked the wind out of him.'

Kimber, now 59, started her career off as an actress, landing small roles throughout the late '90s and early 2000s including Absolute Power (which also starred her father), the action flick Passion Crimes, and the drama The Theory of Everything.

In 2008, however, she switched her focus to producing, and went on to produce a slew of films including Dominion in 2015, the comedy Diary of a Lunatic, and the apocalyptical movie Rapture.

She has been married three times and has a son, named Clinton; she wed her current husband, producer Shawn Midkiff, in 2014.

She does her best to stay out of spotlight and her Instagram is set to private, but according to her bio she is also a 'business owner, grandmother, animal lover, and ranch owner.'

Her mom and Clint's ex-mistress Roxanne passed away last August following 'a brief illness,' which left the actor 'gutted.'

'[Roxanne's death] was more emotional for Clint than he ever expected,' a source told DailyMail.com at the time.

'Her loss not only gutted him but also made him think more about his mortality, which he never does.'

Kyle Eastwood: Clint's eldest son tried his hand at acting before switching his focus to music, and has now released nine albums and composed scores for many of the acclaimed director's movies

Clint and Maggie welcomed two kids together - a son, named Kyle (seen), in 1968, and a daughter, named Alison, in 1972 - before they ultimately went their separate ways in 1979

The University of Southern California graduate (seen with his dad in 1991) has released nine studio albums and composed music for a bunch of his father's films over the years

Both of their kids have pursued careers in the spotlight. Kyle began as an actor, appearing in a slew of his dad's movies - like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Bronco Billy, and The Rookie - before switching his focus to music.

The University of Southern California graduate, who plays bass, started by leading his own quartet.

He went on to release nine studio albums and composed music for a bunch of his father's films over the years.

He previously spoke to PopCultureClassics.com about working with his famous father.

'Sometimes he has a very distinctive idea of what he wants, what he's hearing for [the scenes],' he revealed.

'And then a lot of times, he'll have me look at the scene and just says, "Come up with something. Show me what you can come up with."

'So it's nice that you get some direction and you also get some creative freedom, as well.'

His dad is extremely supportive of his career, as Kyle, now 55, told The Jazz World in 2019, 'When I told my father I wanted to be a musician, he was happy about it'

He tied the knot with a woman named Cynthia Ramirez in 2014, and they now reside in Paris, where he often performs at local bars and nightclubs

'Music has always been important to my family. My parents gave me my taste in music and my love of jazz from an early age.'

He was married to a woman named Laura Gomez from 1995 until 2005, and they welcomed a daughter together, named Graylen.

Alison Eastwood: Like Clint's other kids, Alison attempted to enter the spotlight, but she ultimately quit the film industry to run an animal rescue shelter in California

Alison has described her upbringing as 'magical,' explaining that they were raised on an enormous estate in Carmel, California, 'surrounded by the forest' and 'right on the ocean'

Like many of Clint's other kids, Alison also began her career by acting in some of her dad's movies. She's seen as a kid

Her other early credits include Tightrope, Absolute Power, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Just a Little Harmless Sex, and Black and White. She's seen with her dad in 2007

Alison, 51, previously dished on growing up in the famous family to Fox News.

'We would have family dinners and people would approach him during our family time to shake hands, and get an autograph or a photo,' she recalled.

'It really annoyed my dad, but that's the price of being famous. You don't get a lot of boundaries when you're out in public.

'I remember as a kid that we wouldn't get a lot of uninterrupted, quality family time with him in public.

In addition, she spent some time working as a model, launched her own clothing line, and has dabbled in directing over the years. She's seen in 2018 with her dad

'People always wanted to engage with him. I guess that was my real first time noticing that people seemed only interested in him.

'And of course, seeing his face on the side of buses or buildings. I learned very quickly that other people's parents weren't garnering that same kind of attention.'

But she described her upbringing as 'magical,' adding that they were raised on an enormous estate in Carmel, California, 'surrounded by the forest' and 'right on the ocean' - which instilled a fierce love of animals in her that is still prevalent today.

'We had baby deer, raccoons – all sorts of wildlife [in our yard],' she gushed. 'My brother and I would just go outside and enjoy nature.

'It had an amazing impact on me. We were always surrounded by animals. My parents were both very conscious about exposing us to nature... I was just very fortunate to be surrounded by nature and this beautiful sea life.'

Like many of Clint's other kids, Alison also began her career by acting in some of her dad's movies, making her debut at age seven in Bronco Billy.

Her other early credits include Tightrope, Absolute Power, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Just a Little Harmless Sex, Black and White, Friends & Lovers, Power Play, Poolhall Junkies, and I'll Be Seeing You.

But she eventually left the film industry to run an animal rescue shelter in Southern California. She married an artist named Stacy Poitras in 2013

In 2018, however, she returned to the big screen for the first time in years to star in her father's film The Mule, in which she portrayed his daughter. She's seen at the premiere in 2018

In addition, she spent some time working as a model, launched her own clothing line, called Eastwood Ranch Apparel, and has dabbled in directing over the years.

Her most notable credits as a director include the 2007 flick Rails & Ties, starring Kevin Bacon, and the 2017 drama Battlecreek with Bill Skarsgard.

But she eventually left the film industry to run an animal rescue shelter in Southern California.

In 2018, however, she returned to the big screen for the first time in years to star in her father's film The Mule, in which she portrayed his daughter.

'[Producer] Sam Moore called me and he's like, "You know, your dad wants you to do this film." And I almost threw up,' she recalled of getting the opportunity to star in the film.

'I retired from acting and I had sort of thrown in the towel and decided to focus on a lot of different things.

'Then I thought more about it, I was like, "Well, maybe this is an opportunity to not only play his daughter, but to just to spend some great time with him."

'And my husband said, "If you don't do this, you'll regret it for the rest of your life." And here I am.'

Alison married an artist named Stacy Poitras in 2013.

Scott Eastwood: Arguably the most successful of Clint's kids, Scott has made a major name for himself in Hollywood, but he has insisted that his famous father gave him 'no handouts'

Clint dated flight attendant named Jacelyn Reeves in the '80s, and they had two kids - a son, named Scott, in 1986, and daughter, named Kathryn, in 1988. She's seen with Scott in 2016

Scott, now 38, is arguably the most famous of Clint's kids and has had a booming acting career. He's seen throughout his childhood

He later told People that he spent much of his childhood being 'dragged around to movie sets,' but added that it inspired him to want to work hard from a young age. He's seen as a kid

Following his split from Maggie, Clint struck up romances with multiple other woman - one of whom was later revealed to be a flight attendant named Jacelyn Reeves.

Many details of their romance are not known, but they had two kids together - a son, named Scott, in 1986, and daughter, named Kathryn, in 1988.

They reportedly ended their relationship in 1990 after it was revealed that they had secretly welcomed their children thanks to an expose published by The Star.

Scott, now 38, is arguably the most famous of Clint's kids and has had a booming acting career.

He grew up in Carmel with Clint and his siblings, until age 10, when he moved to Hawaii to live with his mother.

He later told People that he spent much of his childhood being 'dragged around to movie sets,' but added that it inspired him to want to work hard from a young age.

He also explained to Route Magazine, 'I lived more of a normal childhood because my dad was pretty old school when I lived with him.

'There were no real handouts. It wasn't like that. It was like, "Get a job. You want something, go out and get a job and make a career for yourself."'

He spent four years with his mom before heading back to California for high school. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2008 with a degree in communications.

His breakout role came in 2006, when he landed a part in his dad's movie Flags of Our Fathers.

He has since starred in several of Clint's films - including Gran Torino and Invictus - while his other acting credits include Texas Chainsaw, Fury, The Longest Ride, Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim Uprising, and Wrath of Man.

He also played Taylor Swift's love interest in the music video for her hit song Wildest Dreams.

But he has insisted that his famous father wasn't the reason he was able to break into the industry, in fact, he said the connection made people look at him negatively.

'I came [to Hollywood] to try and do something, and nobody took me seriously,' he told Men's Health in 2017.

'Everyone brushed me off, like, "You're Clint Eastwood’s son, you're not a real f**king actor."

'Some people are still like that. I never thought I would last in this business, but it finally seems to be working out.'

He also insisted: 'My dad never gave me a cent. He made me work for everything. Man, he was hard on me, but it hardened me and gave me drive.'

He also told Esquire in 2016 that his dad actually encouraged him to become a director rather than an actor, explaining, 'He says, "It's feast or famine for an actor.

'If you're not creating your own material, then you're just fighting for whatever's out there." I definitely have the desire to go to the other side.'

He has been linked to a few famous faces over the years, including Jana Kramer, Nina Dobrev, and Brittany Brousseua, and he's now reportedly dating Maddie Serviente

'My dad would come to school to pick me up, and all of a sudden, the teachers were a lot nicer,' she once recalled.

'They would be like, "Oh, your daughter is such a good student. She's so creative." And I'd be like, "Are you kidding me? You literally have to ask me to leave the class every five minutes."

'It was like, "Oh, everyone is extra nice and super accommodating to my parents. I get it now."'

She gained attention in 2013 for marrying actor Jonah Hill's brother, Jordan Feldstein, who served as the manager for the band Maroon 5.

Clint and Dina welcomed his eighth and final child, a daughter named Morgan, in December of 1996.

They split in 2013 amid rumors that he had struck up an affair with her friend, Erica Tomlinson-Fisher.

Morgan grew up in Carmel with her family but moved to Los Angeles at age 18, where she lived for nine years.

She previously dished of her childhood, 'My dad is very down-to-earth and not into extravagance so, growing up, my home life was very similar to a typical kid's.

'I did get to experience things that weren't common, like living in cities around the world for months at a time while my dad made a movie, and having seven half-siblings of varying ages (which always makes for a fun and crazy time), but I had an average American childhood for the most part.

'I think a big part of that was due to being raised in a small town away from the spotlight.'

Like many of his other kids, Morgan has worked in the movie industry. She landed a very small role in Million Dollar Baby when she was a kid, and starred in Clint's popular 1992 drama Changeling.

But she eventually realized that being in front of the camera wasn't for her, and instead, pursued another passion: writing.

'I only ever dipped my toes into the world of film and TV. Being in a couple of my dad’s projects was a fun and cute experience - and definitely exciting at the time - but as I got older, I realized that being in front of the camera didn’t really interest me,' she explained on her blog.

'What did interest me was creating the content that was being filmed, so I went to college for screenwriting. That’s really when I decided that writing is what I love doing, overall.'

She recently revealed that she had moved from California to New York to pursue an MFA degree.

'I hope to one day create coming-of-age stories with a personal twist that make younger readers laugh and cry,' she added.

In addition to writing, Morgan also has a fierce interest in fashion, and previously teamed up with Marcella to create her own capsule collection. She's engaged to a man named Tanner Koopman.
