Ivanka Trump has revealed her family has adopted a second dog - four years after she faced brutal criticism for buying her daughter a purebred puppy.
The 42-year-old mother-of-three shared a snap of her family posing with their new pooch Simba, who is a German Shepherd-Lab mix.
Alongside Simba was her daughter Arabella's snow-white dog, Winter, who Ivanka purchased back in 2019 and caused her to face furious backlash for 'skipping a rescue' and getting an all-white pooch.
Following the barrage of criticism, Ivanka seems to have learned her lesson, choosing on this occasion to turn to a shelter in order to find a new dog for her family - prompting fans to gush over her 'huge heart' as she shared resources for others looking to adopt.

The former-first daughter took to Instagram to share a slew of snaps of her family cuddling the new dog.
In the first photo, Ivanka and Jared wrapped their arms around each other while Arabella, 11, held Winter, Joseph, nine, clutched onto Simba's leash, and Theodore, six, stood in front of his mom.
The next snap showed Ivanka and Theodore sitting on a bench and grinning from ear-to-ear as Simba sat in front of them.
Another snap showed Theodore and Simba sitting with each other.
In another photo, the former-first daughter showed off her love for animals as she snapped a selfie with Simba while they snuggled on the couch.
She made sure to include her mom Ivana - whom died at the age of 73 in 2022 and was an animal lover - in the process of getting a new pooch by snapping a photo of Theodore and Simba sitting on a bench dedicated to the socialite.
Ivana devoted her time and resources to helping animals and when she passed, to help honor her steadfast love for pets, the Trump family requested that donations be made to the Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida, which is the same shelter Ivanka adopted Simba from.
Next to the image of Theodore sitting on the bench, Ivanka wrote, 'Love you Mom!'

However, she seemed to make fans happy by sharing that she had rescued a pooch and revealed that she even added a hamster to their family
The family also added a pet hamster named Chester to their mix of furry friends.
The mom-of-three shared snaps of the family holding the small rodent.
Ivanka captioned the photos: 'A couple of weeks ago we brought Simba, our big- hearted and goofy German Shepherd-Lab mix, home from Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
'This little warrior puppy was found abandoned and emaciated alongside a highway in Alabama. Simba joins Winter, and Chester, another furry friend who recently joined the family. Welcome to the crew, Simba!'
On her Instagram Story, Ivanka shared information on shelters her followers could adopt from.
'If you are looking to adopt a pet, here are some amazing organizations to consider,' she said in the first post.
She gushed about the Big Dog Rescue, which is the 'largest cage-free, no-kill dog rescue in the United States.'
Ivanka added: 'They have rescued and rehabilitated over 50,000 furry friends.'
She also raved about Rescue Rock Dog in New York City and the Shelter Pet Project before sharing more images of her family and their furry friends - including a snap of Arabella and Winter.

Ivanka has been known as an animal lover, so it comes as no surprise that she would add another dog and rodent to her mix of furry friends

They were also quick to claim that the pooch was a great fit for the Trump family because it was 'all-white.'
At the time, the former-first daughter has mercilessly trolled.
However, after adopting Simba, fans flooded the comments section and gushed over the mom.

Someone else added: 'Thank you for adopting a rescue!'

After bidding farewell to a life of politics, Ivanka has spent a great deal of time indulging a new hobby: traveling.
The former White House senior adviser and her husband, Jared, relocated to Miami, Florida, with their three children — Arabella, 11, Joseph, nine, and Theodore, six — after her father, former President Donald Trump, left office in January 2021.
She has since been documenting her luxurious getaways on her Instagram.
Back in March, Ivanka and Jared jetted off to Jerusalem alongside their youngest son Theodore, seven, for what is thought to have been her tenth trip in a year.
Ivanka, who was raised Christian, converted to Orthodox Judaism to marry Jared in 2009, and they are raising their children in the same faith. The couple's daughter, Arabella, 11, and oldest son, Joseph, did not appear to be with them.
Ivanka spent the last half of 2022 traveling all over the world, making stops in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
And although she appears incredibly eager to steer clear of her family's future involvement in politics, Ivanka is not free of her family's legal woes just yet.
Just two days ago, Ivanka testified in her dad's trial, in which the New York Attorney General Letitia James' $250 million fraud lawsuit is fighting against The Trump Organization.

Ivanka denied any knowledge of her father's personal financial statements central to the case, and insisted her work focused on the Trump Organization.
She left the Trump Organization in 2017 to join her father's White House administration.
Ivanka's lawyers argued the fraud complaint 'does not contain a single allegation that Ms. Trump directly or indirectly created, prepared, reviewed, or certified any of her father's financial statements.'
She and Jared were also both issued subpoenas in February by the special counsel investigating Trump's effort to overturn the 2020 election and his role in the January 6 Capitol riots.
The former first daughter was in the White House during the Capitol riot and urged her father to address his supporters. She was also in the Oval Office when the then-president asked Pence to block or delay the congressional vote to certify the election.
Ivanka and Jared had both served as political advisors to former president Donald Trump during his presidency.
