Jennifer Aniston cleared up rumors about herself during an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show on Wednesday evening.
The Friends star, 55, touched on something from her childhood when she was growing up with her dad John Aniston, a soap opera star, and her mother Nancy Dow in Thousand Oaks, California.
When Jimmy asked if it was true if 'on Christmas Eve, your family would make you belly dance?' Aniston surprisingly said yes.
'Any time, not just Christmas Eve,' replied the Friends actress.
'You know. The Greeks love any kind of a family dinner, they would say, "Let's get up and watch" - it's like when you say to your child, "Play piano for everyone, let's sing for everyone."'
And the trauma from performing as a child has given her a sort of PTSD. 'I get such anxiety when my friends do that to their children. I have inner trauma from having to perform and belly dance in front of my Greek aunts and uncles and grandmothers,' she noted.

In 2016 the Morning Show actress told EW: 'When I was a kid, they used to make me belly dance. On Christmas Eve.
'My dad's side of the family is Greek, so I would dress up as a little Greek girl, and then on Christmas, after taking belly-dancing classes, I would do that.'
And she did not think her family had good intentions, it was added.
'It had nothing to do with Christmas, even,' she said. 'It was just, "Let's humiliate Jen on Christmas."'
Jennifer was on the talk show to promote her new children's book Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life based on her rescue dog Clyde.
Jennifer brought her beloved dog Clyde with her to the talk show studio in Los Angeles. Clyde also made his television debut when Jennifer brought him out to join her on the stage with Jimmy. Jennifer said the book is about finding your purpose in life.
Aniston also confirmed that she does salmon sperm facials.

'But let me explain to you. It's not like, how do you get sperm out of a salmon? It was sort of unclear.'
She then explained: 'I just took the woman's word that that's what it was. And I was like, 'Sure.''
A confused Jimmy then stumbled over his words: 'Yeah, well, I mean - if it's not that - is that supposed... I mean, I don't know.'
Aniston clarified: 'I don't know, supposed to be little, tiny like the micro needling that they do.'
'And then it was to push in the salmon sperm. Don't I have beautiful salmon skin?' she humorously asked.
This comes after Jennifer shared another look inside her $21million mansion located in the Bel-Air neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The Friends actress wore a black slip dress with a red teardrop necklace and flip flops as she read her new book Clydeo Takes a Bite Out Of Life to four dogs.
The star was sitting in the TV lounge area beyond her kitchen as she read text to the seated canines.
The video gave fans a lot to take in, like how she has a wine room by her fireplace and how she has a makeup mirror in her kitchen.
There were two iced coffees with straws in clear glasses off to the side and plenty of water glasses on the kitchen island.
The Emmy winner also has a Tom Ford coffee table book behind her and a basket chair swing to the side of a glass table. A purple crystal can be spied behind the sofa.

Aniston purchased the sprawling home for $12M when she was wed to Justin Theroux and then subsequently did plenty of improvements.
The property includes a swimming pool, an outdoor lounge area and a chicken coup.
It is the same neighborhood where her pal Ellen DeGeneres used to live.
The beautiful home was also featured several years ago in Architectural Digest and Jennifer filmed a SmartWater ad there.
The house is likely worth about $40M now as the market has gone up dramatically in the past decade.
This comes after Aniston shared the story behind adopting her first dog.
A pooch was not performing well during a scene with her costars Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry on their hit show Friends.
The canine's name was Norman and Aniston offered to take him home. And then a beautiful love for dogs blossomed that has lasted to this day.
Sadly, Norman passed away in 2011 and Jennifer got a tattoo on her foot to remind her of the beige fuzzball. But she still looks back fondly on her first pooch 13 years after his passing.
