Jennifer Lopez's own friends 'are fed up of her antics' as she files for divorce for fourth time...with Ben Affleck 'deploying very clever tactic against her'

Jennifer Lopez's own friends have suggested the actress needs to 'look inside herself' after she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, ending her fourth marriage.

A source close to the star told DailyMail.com said those close to Lopez are growing tired of her chaotic love life.

'After four failed marriages, her friends feel that she should take a look inside and focus on herself instead of what others want her to be and finally figure out who she is and what she wants from her future,' the insider said.

Lopez, 55, filed for divorce without an attorney Tuesday - on the second anniversary of her stunning Georgia wedding ceremony to Affleck, 52. She listed the date of separation as April 26 this year. 

But the source told DailyMail.com that the My Love Don't Cost A Thing star isn't the only one capable of playing mind games.

Explaining Affleck's take-the-high-road approach, the insider said: 'Jennifer said she was tired of being humiliated by Ben and she waited until the two year anniversary because she wanted to sting.

'But it did not sting him. He's been done for a long time and deep down she knows this. He let her have this so that she wouldn't look like the villain.'

DailyMail.com has approached representatives for both Affleck and Lopez about the claims. 

Without a prenup in place, their individual earnings from the last two years, whether it be from film projects or major brand deals, would be community property.

Jennifer, who has a reported $400million net worth, has put out four films since marrying Ben, including her $20million self-funded project This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, which documents the couple's rekindled romance.

She launched her Delola cocktail line in 2023 and she was set to embark on a world tour in support of her latest album 'This Is Me... Now' but it was canceled weeks before kick off so she could 'focus' on family.

Oscar-winner Ben, who has a reported net worth of $150million, has recently starred in the films Air (2023) and Hypnotic (2023). He also recently wrapped production of a sequel to 2016's The Accountant.

To further complicate things, Jennifer and Ben worked on the upcoming film, Unstoppable. 

While Affleck is producing the project alongside Matt Damon, Lopez is among the film's stars.

According to TMZ, Jennifer is not seeking spousal support and has asked the judge to deny it for Ben as well.

It's claimed that Jennifer's divorce filing comes amid her and Ben's unresolved battle over money.

According to insiders, the exes have been embroiled in tense settlement talks for months. At times, Jennifer and Ben have stopped speaking to one another entirely.

The couple listed their $68 million Beverly Hills marital home in May — one year after purchasing it for $60million.

After failing to sell it off market, they publicly listed the sprawling property in June.

Days after Jennifer's 55th birthday in July, Ben closed escrow on a new $20.5million bachelor pad in the Pacific Palisades.

A source recently told Us Weekly that the star's decision to purchase the abode 'was the closure of the relationship.'

Meanwhile, Jennifer is still on the hunt for a new LA home and looking for a 'fresh start,' as reported by PEOPLE.

News of Jennifer's divorce filing comes after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that documents had been 'finalized, but not yet turned in.'

The couple have not been pictured publicly together since June 2 but Jennifer was seen leaving his $100,000-per-month Brentwood rental home last week.

She was visiting him on his 52nd birthday along with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 51, and children.

He was notably absent from Jennifer's lavish Bridgerton-themed 55th birthday celebration in The Hamptons in late July.

Amid the divorce speculation, both Ben and Jen were frequently spotted wearing their wedding bands in public.

Earlier this month, a source told Page Six that Jennifer was 'furious' with Ben and that she was 'humiliated' by the split.

'He's humiliated her because she made a big deal that he's the love of her life. They just had two weddings two years ago,' they dished.

'This is some kind of a record, they're not young kids,' the insider explained to Page Six that Lopez is also angry due to their children being involved in the split.

Lopez has formed a close bond with Affleck's three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 — and has continued to spend time with them amid the split.

Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 55, who have also grown close to Ben in the last two years.

'There are five kids involved in this. She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over,' the source continued.

Jennifer and Ben's love story dates back to 2002 when they met on set of the box office bomb Gigli. 'Bennifer' quickly became a Hollywood 'It couple.'

But their whirlwind romance came to an end in early 2004, when she and the Armageddon star abruptly called off their engagement.

After 17 years apart and two failed marriages, Ben and Jennifer rekindled their romance in May 2021.

The couple then married in a Las Vegas ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in July 2022.

Bennifer join Sinead O'Conner, Britney Spears, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and many more celebrities who have tied the knot at the iconic venue.

'Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,' wrote Lopez, announcing their wedding that, and signing off as Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

'Stick around long enough and maybe you´ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at 12:30 in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through with your kids and the one you´ll spend forever with,' she wrote in her newsletter.

A month later, they had a much grander wedding at Affleck´s house in Georgia, in front of friends and family.

Lopez, 55, had been married three times before. She was briefly married to Ojani Noa from 1997-1998 and to Cris Judd from 2001-2003. 

She and singer Marc Anthony were married for a decade, having wed in 2004, and share 14-year-old twins. 

She started dating former baseball player Alex Rodriguez in 2017, but the couple called off their engagement in 2021.
