Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker slammed President Joe Biden over 'his support for the murder of innocent babies' and was called 'delusional' during an astonishing commencement speech at a small Kansas college.
Butker has become well known for his conservative views, often using the bible and his faith as his rationale for his beliefs.
Now, he has spread those beliefs at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Less than two minutes into his remarks, Butker makes a deep dig at Biden.
'Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally,' Butker said.
'He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I'm sure to many people, it appears that you can be both Catholic and pro-choice,' Butker continued.
Butker mentioned how he thought Biden was 'delusional' for how he uses his Catholic faith
Biden is running for re-election against Donald Trump to retain his place in the White House
Butker is refencing the Biden administration's pro-choice policies that support abortion.
This is far from the first time Butker has shown a public distrust in Biden.
At the Chiefs 2023 Super Bowl celebration at the White House, Butker tore a tie with a pro-life Latin phrase written on it in close proximity of Biden.
The topic of a national abortion ban in America has ramped up over the last two years, since a Republican-heavy Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade, which legalized abortion in the United States.
Butker is a three-time Super Bowl champion, winning all three championships with the Chiefs
Butker's protest took place last June, as the Chiefs celebrating winning last year's Super Bowl.
The date for another Kansas City championship celebration at the White House in honor of its victory over the San Francisco 49ers is expected in the next few months, but has not been announced.
Butker said he has no plans for another silent protest of the Biden administration's pro-choice stance, but 'a lot of thought' went into last year's message.
Butker is a three-time Super Bowl champion and one of the most outspoken voices among current NFL players in opposition of President Biden's policies.
