Actor Jonathan Majors clutched a Bible as he arrived at court in New York City along with girlfriend Meagan Good for the start of his domestic violence trial.

The 34-year-old is charged with four misdemeanors after being arrested following an alleged incident with his former partner, Grace Jabbari.

The Creed III actor arrived at Manhattan Criminal Court ahead of jury selection for the trial.

He strolled in hand in hand with new girlfriend Good, 42, who is supporting him throughout the hearing which began Wednesday.

Majors made no comment as he entered the court, but did turn to nod to a fan who shouted 'good luck' as he walked by.

Majors faces  four misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment of former girlfriend Grace Jabbari

Jabbari  (pictured) was herself arrested months later after she allegedly struck her former boyfriend after accusing him of assault

The Marvel star sported dark sunglasses, a suit and tie and a long black coat with a bright checked lining for the occasion.

Fellow actress Good opted for a similarly smart look, accessorizing her black outfit and wool coat with a pair of round glasses.

Majors kept a tight grip on his Bible, which he took with him during a break during jury selection.

The couple were first spotted together in Los Angeles back in April, weeks after Majors' arrest.

They have been putting on a united front ever since and were seen clinging to each other in New York on Tuesday ahead of the trial.

Majors is on trial over the alleged incident on March 25 in which dancer Jabbari claims he attacked her, leaving her with an injured arm.

Majors has strenuously denied the claims, with his legal representatives stating he is looking forward to 'clearing his name'.

As well as jury selection, the judge is expected to reveal if previously sealed evidence will be admitted into court.

Majors' legal team has worked hard to argue that some of the material in the case should remain sealed.

The domestic violence trial began on Wednesday with jury selection with the judge also expected to rule whether previously sealed evidence can be used

The evidence is believed to be other women's testimonies about their alleged abusive relationships with Majors - which may be used to prove the defendant's conduct is 'inextricably interwoven with the charged acts,' reports Rolling Stone.
In June, the outlet reported that Majors physically and/or emotionally abused two previous romantic partners.

The allegations date back to his time at Yale Drama School and include one woman's claims he strangled her and comments from another who called their time together 'emotional torture.

The controversy prompted a string of institutions and agents dropped to drop the actor - and it caused issues with his upcoming work, specifically within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Earlier this year, Majors lost his motion to dismiss his domestic assault charges - with the judge clearing the way for the case to go to trial.

According to court documents, the couple were in a car when Jabbari saw a message on Majors' phone that read 'Wish I was kissing you right now.' She grabbed the phone, at which point Majors twisted her forearm and struck her ear.

The Marvel star has previously denied the claims against him and his lawyers said he was looking forward to 'clearing his name' in court

During a break in jury selection the Hollywood star made sure to collect his bible as he left the court room

She tried to exit the car, and he 'threw her back inside,' causing her 'sustained substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head,' the documents state.

London-based Jabbari previously claimed she was also strangled, however this was dropped from the complaint after police only noted minor injuries to her arm.

The case was further complicated after Majors filed his own counter complaint, claiming it was Jabbari who attacked him.

But in October, Jabbari was arrested for allegedly striking Majors, after accusing the actor of assaulting her.

The 30-year-old presented herself in at Manhattan's 10th Precinct.
