Julie Chrisley resentenced to seven years in bank fraud and tax evasion case leaving Savanah Chrisley 'in ruins'

Julie Chrisley's appeal for a shorter prison sentence has been denied after a judge declared she will continue to serve seven years for bank fraud and tax evasion – leaving her daughter Savannah 'in ruins'.

On Wednesday, a federal judge refused to hand the 51-year-old disgraced TV star a more lenient sentence, declaring it 'will not change' despite her appeal.

It comes three months after the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals claimed that Julie's initial judgement had miscalculated her sentence and did not find evidence proving her full involvement in the bank fraud scheme.

An insider close to the family has revealed that her resentencing has devastated her oldest daughter Savannah, 27, who was so confident that her mom would be freed that she had planned a party.

The source added that the rest of the Chrisley family fear that Savannah is putting her parents' case at risk by 'nonstop talking' about it.   

'Savannah is in ruins,' they said. 'She had everything prepared for Julie to come home. She was so certain of her being freed.

'There were decorations, all the food for a big lavish home cooked meal with all the trimmings and everyone was gearing up for a big welcome home.

'This makes no sense to Savannah who has spent every waking moment doing everything she can.'

According to the source, Savannah is furious that Anna Delvey was able to appear on Dancing with the Stars with an ankle monitor for 'seemingly worse crimes'.

They continued: 'She says it's a slap in the face. But her rhetoric and nonstop talking isn't helping the case at all.

'She has been told by family members to tone it down. She's crushed as are Chase, the kids and nanny Faye.'

Julie dressed in a navy blue prison uniform for her resentencing.

Addressing the judge, she said: 'I apologize for my actions and what led me to where I am today.'

She added that serving jail time had been 'the most difficult time in my life' and that it had taken a toll on her loved ones.'

'I cannot ever repay my children for what they have had to go through, and for that I am sorry,' she added.

Julie and her husband Todd, 55, were found guilty in July 2022 of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.

The Chrisleys were also found guilty of tax evasion by hiding their earnings while showcasing an extravagant lifestyle, with both heading off to prison in January 2023.

They had their sentences reduced in September 2023, with Julie given five and a half years in Federal Medical Center Lexington, while Todd received 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola.

Daughter Savannah, who starred alongside her imprisoned parents, has been vocal about the abhorrent conditions they have faced behind bars.

In July, she claimed the heat in Julie's Kentucky prison had caused her mother to become 'physically ill.'

'In the visitation room, thank goodness, there's air conditioning,' Savannah said about the alleged prison conditions at FMC (Federal Medical Center) in Lexington.

'But outside the visitation room, there is zero air conditioning.

'The heat index was 105, 110 and that's what Mom's living in - in conditions like that with absolutely no air.

'And it can be 100 degrees inside the building.'

Savannah continued: 'She literally said that she got physically sick because she got so hot.

'So, you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they're passing out. But yet, there's service dogs that have air conditioning.

'None of it makes sense to me. It is so beyond inhumane that you cannot make it up. And it's tough.'

In July, she took her efforts to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, using the platform to blast the prosecution and conviction of her parents, who she claims were 'persecuted' due to their 'public profile and conservative beliefs.'

She compared their alleged unfair treatment to that of Trump during his highly publicized hush money trial with porn star Stormy Daniels - something insiders claim was a calculated move to garner sympathy from the former President with the 'end goal' of getting him to release her parents.

Julie and Todd both made their name on Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014.

It followed Todd, an Atlanta-based, self-made millionaire, and the family's various exploits.

It came to abrupt close in 2023 following the couple's convictions, which came after an in-depth probe from the Department of Justice.
