Tyler Badie is expected to be okay after the Denver Broncos running back collapsed on the sidelines after hitting his head on the turf at MetLife Stadium.

Badie was stretchered off to the locker room in a neck brace and was swiftly ruled out for the remainder of the Broncos' game against the New York Jets Sunday afternoon.

He was believed to have suffered a back injury during the horrifying moments and fans were left concerned after head coach Sean Payton initially offered no update following the game.

However, the 24-year-old is now said to be 'doing to be alright,' according to the Denver Post.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk also reported that Badie has 'movement in all extremities.'

The Broncos were due to return to Colorado around 7pm ET but it is unclear if Badie would be making the journey back with the team. 'We'll see,' Payton answered when quizzed on the issue.

The terrifying moment came towards the end of the first quarter of the Broncos narrow 10-9 win over the Jets.

Slow-motion replays showed Badie landing awkwardly on his head and neck during a play for the Broncos against the Jets, before he managed to return to the sidelines.

Just seconds later, he collapsed to the ground while standing among his teammates, and medics rushed to his aid.

Shortly after, as the second quarter of the game began, Badie had a neck brace attached and was stretchered back to the locker room for further assessment.

He was then quickly ruled out for the rest of the game, but the full extent of his injuries are currently unclear.

The injury occurred after Badie was tackled by Quincy Williams, forcing a fumble

The incident occurred in a tackle from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, who brought Badie down as he tried to catch the ball, resulting in a fumble and a Jets recovery.

Badie was then unable to cushion his fall in the driving rain, and his face mask can be seen slamming into the MetLife turf.

The big screens at the stadium showed Badie being taken away on a stretcher shortly after, and he appeared to be conscious and speaking to medics.

Badie was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft after starring at Missouri, and he was promoted to the active roster on Wednesday after impressing with nine carries for 70 yards in the win over the Bucs in Week 3.
