Mel B has revealed that she's been kicked out of the Spice Girls' WhatsApp group, for spilling the beans about a potential reunion.

Scary Spice, 48, has dropped several hints that the band are set to reunite to celebrate their 30th anniversary, sending fans wild with excitement.

But Victoria Beckham has poured cold water on the frenzy by stating there will categorically not be a musical reunion, much to fans' disappointment.

And Mel has revealed that her loose lips have landed her in hot water with her bandmates, who have removed her from their group chat in revenge.

Appearing on Thursday's This Morning with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, Mel tried to defend herself by setting the rumours straight.

She said: 'There's nothing to say… I don't keep saying it. I've said it and then it got taken out of context.'

Alison asked: 'I heard you got kicked out of the WhatsApp group as well?' to which Mel admitted: 'That always happens to me… because I say things.

'You know, I get so excited when it comes to Spice Girls, because it is 30 years. And you know, we've got a lot to celebrate the fact that we're all still healthy and living life and all talking still.'

She added: 'It's nice, so I can't say anything else to get myself kicked out!'

Mel previously confessed she'd been banished from the WhatsApp group with  Victoria, 49, Geri Horner, 51, Melanie Chisholm, 50, and Emma Bunton, 48, over her chatterbox tendencies.

Under strict orders to remain shtum, she tried to keep tight lipped on possible plans for the band on The Jonathan Ross Show last month, but also confirmed that there was 'definitely' something in the works.

She said: 'We are wanting to do something and we are but I can't really tell you because I'll get kicked out of the WhatsApp group again so I have to be really careful.

'We're definitely doing something. I'm probably going to get told off! I'm in trouble now.'

She explained: 'I get kicked out of the group because I get so excited whenever I talk about Spice Girls and the more I say something's going to happen, I will it that much that it does happen like the Olympics and the 2019 tour.'

Mel also reignited hopes of a surprise Spice Girls reunion at Glastonbury on Hits Radio Breakfast Show in March.

Reports had claimed that all five original members would reunite in 2024 for a headline slot at Worthy Farm.

Mel fanned the flames as she coyly teased: 'You don't know that we're not doing Glastonbury.'

She added: 'We are talking about doing something together - I can't say what it is 'cos I always get into trouble, loose lips sink ships and I'm not about to sink the ship!

'I've had the kibosh put on me this time round but my aim is to get us back in to the studio, that would be nice.'

But this week, Posh Spice squashed fans' hopes as she said the only celebration the band was having for their milestone anniversary, would be a private meal to 'reminisce.'

During an interview on Radio France, the fashion designer revealed: 'We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls.

'It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate - a dinner or a lunch - and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that.'

Victoria insisted that her singing days are firmly behind her and that she is now focused solely on her fashion and beauty empire.

'I'm so proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls that now, for me, it's about empowering people through fashion and beauty,' she said.

'There have been lots of rumours about tours and performances but that will not happen. But I'd love to celebrate with the girls in another way just me and them.'

It comes after Mel revealed there will be 'hidden surprises' from the Spice Girls during her upcoming wedding to Rory McPhee.

The singer announced her engagement to Rory, 35, in November in 2022, after he popped the question with a £100k diamond ring at Cliveden House in Berkshire.

Speaking to Jonathan Ross, Mel confirmed that her bandmates would be part of her big day, saying: 'I have got a few hidden surprises from my girls that's going to happen on the day, so yes, they are involved.

Jonathan then asked if Victoria might potentially design her wedding dress to which Mel replied: 'Yeah but hopefully I won't have to pay Victoria because she's expensive but it's very good stuff.'

She also gushed about her fiancé, telling the chat show host: 'He is so lovely and he's made me believe that there are good people out there, he's made me believe in love again and I just feel so safe with him, he's adorable.'
