Creed star Michael B Jordan has been left 'embarrassed' after smashing his $429,000 Ferrari into a parked car, with insiders claiming he accidentally pumped the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The actor, 36, was seen speaking to police officers next to his wrecked vehicle outside Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles, just after 11.30pm on Saturday.

'It was an actual accident,' an insider told DailyMail.com. 'Michael was annoyed that he ruined his car, but that can get fixed. He was, and is, embarrassed about it all as he accidentally had his foot on the gas and didn't brake in time.

'One thing lead to another and the parked car was where it was, and all the puzzle pieces just landed in an unfortunate way. He is happy nobody was hurt.'

The accident happened days before he attended an event for Creed 3 - which was released earlier this year.

'Michael appeared in great spirits and showed no injuries after his accident the other day,' the source continued. 'He wasn't feeling worse for wear and seemed to be enjoying talking to all the people who were at the event.'

The LAPD found no signs of him being impaired by drugs or alcohol after the incident.

Footage from the scene showed that the passenger's side of the blue Ferrari had crashed into a parked car - triggering the airbags inside to be deployed. A wheel had also rolled off the car.

A reporter for LA-OC.tv said when he tried to film the car and its occupants speaking to police, Jordan's security guard 'tried to run me off.'

Police officers did not perform a field sobriety test, the outlet said. No charges have been filed in connection to the case.

The LAPD and representatives for Jordan have been contacted for comment.

On August 11, Jordan ironically showcased his collaboration with Ferrari in an Instagram post - where he was suited in the brand's clothes and filmed driving in one of their red cars.

The sports car company called him a 'Ferrari enthusiast.'

He was filmed speaking to representatives from the brand, while wearing a personalized Ferrari helmet as he took to the track.

Last month, Jordan showed off some relaxing photos from his trip to Japan in an Instagram post.

The actor shared images of himself meditating on a bridge and cooking up a fiery dinner during the sojourn.

The post came after new Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi claimed on the Netflix reality series that she and Jordan had been close.

Chrishell Stausse asked her fellow real estate agents: 'Who would you sleep with, celebrity-wise? Who would you pick?'

Amanza Smith named Jordan as her celebrity crush, before Tiesi added: 'I could do that — and I've done that.'
