Mitchell Robinson's high school coach revealed he is living with the Knicks center as he told a hugely touching story on Thursday night.
Butch Stockton, who Robinson played for at Chalmette High School in Louisiana, was in attendance as his former player faced the Pistons at Madison Square Garden.
And the coach, who lost his wife Dawn to cancer over the summer, shared that Robinson invited him to stay with him to get his 'mind back straight' after his partner of 31 years passed away.
'When my wife was in the hospital, Mitchell came each day to visit her, Stockton said while being interviewed by MSG Network's Rebecca Haarlow. 'Became very close to myself and my wife and after the funeral, Mitchell told everyone that he was gonna bring me to New York with him.
'He said, 'Coach there's no reason you stay down here in Louisiana anymore. You come to New York with and enjoy yourself and get your mind back straight because you know how much you loved your wife.''
