Mounting speculation Dave Grohl fathered love child with an Australian woman after Foo Fighters toured Down Under over nine months ago

Rumours are swirling Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl fathered his love child with an Australian woman after the rock band toured the country last year.

This week, the singer, 55, shocked fans when it emerged he had cheated on his wife Jordyn Blum and fathered a child outside of his marriage.

Jackie O Henderson was discussing Grohl's confession on KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show on Thursday when she claimed the mother of his newborn baby could be Australian.

'Everyone was shocked when he released a statement announcing [he welcomed a child outside his marriage],' she began.

'Obviously he had sex with a fan and maybe he didn't know until now. But he was on tour in Australia nine months ago.'

'It could be an Australian girl because he said he recently became a father. It could be Australian if [the baby was born] just now.'

Jackie and her co-host Kyle Sandilands then revealed that Grohl had toured the US and Abu Dhabi before heading to Australia in November and then New Zealand.

Other fans have also taken to social media to share their theories about Grohl's newborn being Australian.

'Which one of you Australians was it?!' one person asked.

'Nine months ago the Foo Fighters were touring Australia and the possibility of Dave Grohl having an Aussie baby is very funny to me,' another said.

'If the timing is right, then Dave Grohl cheated on his wife in Australia,' a third wrote.

The Foo Fighters' Australia and New Zealand tour began in Perth on November 29, 2023. 

Grohl confessed on Tuesday that he had welcomed a daughter with an undisclosed woman in a statement posted to Instagram.

He wrote: 'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.'

'I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.'

Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters - Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

Blum previously worked as a model and TV producer.

Before the news broke, the pair's eldest child appeared to deactivate her Instagram.

The rock star, who has often been described as a 'family man,' has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews throughout the years.

In 2007, Grohl told The Guardian, '[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.' 

Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family 'changed everything that I do.'

He added: 'It's changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It's inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.'

Grohl divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating.

While little is publicly known about Blum, People reported she once appeared on the cover of Teen - after being discovered at a supermarket when she was 12.

Blum was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the frontman.

But Grohl told Elle in 2007 that he was not ready for a serious relationship when they first met, and stopped calling Blum after a few dates.

He shared: 'After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again.''

Blum has collaborated wit the Foo Fighters several times, including in the band's 2002 video White Limo, where she made an appearance.

She also co-directed the Foo Fighter's 2002 Walking a Line music video.
