A traveller was left disgusted after taking a luxury first-class flight only to be met with filthy conditions in the nightmare aircraft.
Anip Patel paid £4,700 to fly in style from Chicago to Delhi - but upon boarding the Boeing 777 he was stunned find hair clumps lodged in various crevices, ripped furnishings, and dirt-covered seats.
The disgruntled passenger whipped out his phone to record the grim conditions of what he thought would be a glam first-class compartment, but instead captured surfaces with layers of mildew and a broken TV.
According to Patel, the onboard entertainment was allegedly broken for the 15-hour flight and the dishes appeared average at best - with stale-looking samosas and lumpy soup.
He said: 'Look at how gross this is, there was hair and there were things moving in every compartment.

Patel said the samosas were stale on his first-class flight
The furnishings appeared to be torn and ripped on the aircraft
'Everything was ripped, ruined or had mildew on it. I understand regular wear and tear, but this was next-level, guys.'
Patel conceded that the onboard menu was 'promising' but claimed 30 per cent of the food was unavailable.
He added: 'They only had one of each item and there was only four of us in the entire cabin. And it was basically a first come, first serve.'
In his grisly clip, viewers were left stunned to see thick black dirt clogging the ventilation system and mysterious stains on the seat fabric.
The furious passenger also lamented the lack of wifi and broken in-flight entertainment system that the crew were unable to fix, leaving him with nothing to do for the entire flight.
Patel said: 'It was a nightmare. I was robbed on this flight.'
He later said in an update that Air India had offered him a full refund for the poor experience.
He said: 'I did not file any complaint with Air India but through social media they saw this video – they called me today and refunded my entire flight they did make it right and it's worth noting.'
Air India was ranked 103rd among 350 airlines by the Skytrax World Airline Awards in 2023.
The flag carrier rose slightly to 90th position in 2024 but it still lags far behind the top carriers globally in terms of passenger experience and service quality.
