Green Bay Packers star center Josh Myers revealed what led him to throwing up on a football during Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

With a crucial 3rd-and-10 at one point in the contest, Packers quarterback Malik Willis refused to throw the football and ran it instead.

When asked why he changed the play by coach Matt LeFleur, Willis revealed the Myers had vomited on the football before the snap.

Myers was asked about the embarrassing moment and told USA Today reporter Ryan Wood, 'I felt like I had something in my throat.

'I don't know if it's just from the electrolyte drinks that we drink and stuff, but something was caught in my throat when I was breathing that hard. I bent over and, I just, I don't know. I threw up.'

The freak occurrence resulted in quarterback Malik Willis calling an audible and running

LaFleur revealed what had happened to reporters after the game.

'I asked Malik why he didn't throw the ball on that third down,' LaFleur began.

'He told me that Josh [Myers] threw up on the ball. I was like, 'That's the first time that I ever heard that'... Malik probably didn't appreciate that.'

The coach added that referee Shawn Hochuli also told him about Myers losing his lunch all over the ball.

Aside from Myers' stomach losing its contents, it was overall a good day for Green Bay as they beat Indianapolis 16-10.

It was the first full game for Willis as a replacement for the injured Jordan Love. Willis wasn't tasked with tossing the ball much - completing only 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay relied heavily on its run game in the victory - racking up 261 yards on the ground, including 151 for running back Josh Jacobs.

It appears that will be the game plan in the coming weeks - with Love targeting a return to the field in Week 5 per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

It was a strong start for Willis - who has only been in the Packers system since late August

Willis has only been with the Packers since he was traded to Green Bay on August 26, and LaFleur singled him out for praise after the game.

'There was a lot put on his plate,' he told reporters.

'And for him to be able to go out there and do what he did today, I think that speaks volumes of who he is as a person and the work that he's put in - just super proud of him.'
