Pennsylvania shooting: One person killed and multiple injured in Clairton after police break up massive street brawl

A suspect is in custody after an early morning shooting in Pennsylvania left one person dead and two others injured, police say.

Around 4 a.m. on Sunday shots were fired in the 400 block of State Street in Clairton, Allegheny County Police told KDKA.

Police arrived to a chaotic scene with multiple people fighting in the street.

One man was shot but was able to flee the area. While leaving the scene, he crashed his car, flipping the vehicle and hitting a utility pole, according to WPXI.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victims - one who was shot in the arm and another in the leg - were taken to the hospital.

Allegheny County Police took one person into custody and are continuing to investigate.

Clairton is a small city located nearly 15 miles outside of Pittsburgh with a population of approximately 6,000.
