Rising star lawyer, 28, 'helped mother steal home from her son using multiple forged docs amid dramatic family feud'

A Florida lawyer has been accused of helping a mom try to steal a home from her son using forged documents amid a dramatic family feud.

Ashley Morin, 28, was arrested on Monday after Ryan Shrouder claimed she had aided his mother Suzanne Corcoran, who has also been charged over the alleged fraud.

He told police Morin managed to steal his signature stamp before his mom used it to sign off on a deed transferring his share of the $540,000 home to her, before registering the document.

Shrouder is commissioner for the City of Cooper and previously employed Morin, according to court filings.

'The signature stamp on the deed is identical to his signature stamp, showing that Corcoran may have taken it or replicated it from another document,' the probable cause affidavit states.

'Ryan emphasized that he never uses his signature stamp for essential papers like wills, power of attorney documents or deeds'.

Morin was overheard telling his mom on the phone that Shrouder has two stamps and would not notice one was missing, a witness told police.

The attorney picked up Corcoran and driven her to various post offices attempting to notarize the deed, finally succeeding at a UPS according to the filings.

She is then said to have produced an original copy of the deed to local government staff to enable it to be registered.

Shrouder told Broward County Sheriff Detective Robert Feick he had been financially supporting his mother for the last ten years, but their relationship had become 'tumultuous'.

He stated that his mother could sometimes experience 'severe instability' leading to 'self destructive' behaviors which had recently prompted him to revoke her use of credit cards and take back a vehicle he loaned her.

'Since the day he took these actions, Ryan asserts the Corcoran's erratic conduct has escalated,' the documents state.

He accused his mom of making up lies that he and his wife Samantha, a doctor who had just set up her own telemedicine clinic, were using Ozempic.

The situation came to a head in May last year when Shrouder was on vacation in Spain.

The trip was due to coincide with Morin's last day in his office, which is when he claims she would have had an opportunity to steal his stamp.

Text messages included in the court docs show Shrouder confronting his mom about how the deed got signed in his name and her calling him a 'desperate little boty' and accusing him of being on 'bad drugs'.

'It's unfortunate how self-destructive your behavior has escalated to,' Shrouder replied.

'You're obviously not well and I wish you the best of luck and I'm going to allow the appropriate professionals to sort this mess out.'

Corcoran's Facebook page lists her as a former deputy at Broward County Sheriff's Office who studied criminal justice in college.

She and Morin have been charged with first-degree grand theft, filing false documents against property and criminal use of personal identification information. Corcoran has pleaded not guilty.

Morin also denied taking the stamp to Feick and declined further questioning after asked whether she had driven Corcoran around.

The Florida Bar website states she works at Shendell & Pollock in Boca Raton, however no trace of her can now be found on their website.

Shrouder is also suing the notary public who notarized the deed, according to court filings.

He said he is, 'disheartened and hurt over this entire situation', and directed further inquiry to the Broward State's Attorney.

DailyMail.com has contacted Morin and Corcoran for comment.
