Sex symbol Wonder Woman star reveals she's endorsing her sister's rival in political race

The former star of the hit 1970's TV show Wonder Woman has revealed that she will be endorsing her sister's opponents in in the race for Arizona's House of Representatives.

Lynda Carter, 72, known for her star-spangled superhero role, has shocked fans by publicly backing her sibling's rivals in the upcoming race. 

Carter took to social media to endorse Democrats Karen Gresham and Kelli Butler over her flesh-and-blood, Republican sister Pamela Carter, for the District 4 seats.

'As a native Arizonan, I am proud to endorse @KelliButlerAZ and @KarenGreshamAZ for the two LD4 seats in Arizona's State House,' she announced on X last week.

'Kelli and Karen are both strong, experienced candidates, born and raised in Arizona. They are working mothers fighting for the rights that matter most to Arizonans, especially every child's right to a quality education.'

Pamela, who is running on an anti-abortion ticket, reacted to her sister's statement.

Following the news, she released statement, stating: 'I love my sister even though her politics are very far left and we disagree on some issues.'

'That doesn't change how I feel about her, so you won't catch me criticizing her or bad-mouthing her in the press.' Pamela added.

Gresham reacted to the endorsement in a video, saying: 'That was very exciting. I was very honored to have the endorsement of Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter.'

In July, Carter promoted her new single - after she debuted Pink Slip Lollipop in June, posing with a giant pink and white lollipop.

'Do you have a sweet tooth? I know I do! #pinksliplollipop,' the Wonder Woman star wrote next to the snap.

She wore a black leather biker-inspired jacket with a peplum and a pink sweater added for a feminine touch.

The songbird wore matching leather slacks as she stood against a background of blue, pink and white. She credited photographer Matt Beard for the picture.
