Shakira receives a gentle kiss from retired tennis player Justin Gimelstob at the Miami Open - after sparking romance rumours with Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount

Shakira was kissed on the cheek by retired tennis player Justin Gimelstob as she watched the Miami Open tennis final in the VIP section on Sunday.

The Colombian singer, 47, watched courtside as Jannik Sinner from Italy defeated Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria in the men's single finals of the Florida tournament.

American sportsman Justin, also 47, wore a light blue polo shirt greeted Shakira by giving her a kiss on the cheek as she watched the match from the same VIP box as English tennis star Annabel Croft. 

She looked chic for her day out in double denim, sporting a zip-up cream corset, and a white mini-skirt as she fondly greeted the dashing sportsman. 

Her warm greeting with Justin will no doubt set tongues wagging as the meeting comes amid dating rumours surrounding the songstress and Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount, after he starred in her recent music video. 

Shakira, who was drinking a Heineken beer, finished off the look with a pair of heeled white leather shin-high boots and huge shield-style Versace sunglasses. 

Shakira's outing comes after she sparked romance rumours with Lucien by heading out on a dinner date. Kerry Katona's ex-boyfriend Lucien makes a surprise cameo in Shakira's new music video for her latest single, Punteria. 

The video dropped in mid-March and fans were surprised to see the Emily In Paris star Lucien, 31, sharing some cosy scenes with the singer, 47.  

Kerry, 43, who met Lucien on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, previously said their 'fling' was 'just a bit of fun'. 

In the music video, which also stars Cardi B, Lucien showed off his ripped physique as he went shirtless to play a centaur who was hit by Shakira's arrow.

Lucien's character was then dragged into a hall occupied by the singers and their followers and Shakira cleaned off his wound while suggestively running her hands over his body.

Shakira went on to change into a pink cut-out bodysuit while performing with several backup singers following the conclusion of the song's second chorus.

The singer then donned a pink dress and was joined by a healed Laviscount as she sat in the middle of a giant flower, in which the two caressed each other.

Cardi B kicked off the song's final chorus by singing her lines while cleaning and feeding several of the other centaurs.

Shakira concluded the video by shooting an arrow into the distance, sending the group of centaurs back into space. 

While Shakira's love life has been hitting headlines, Justin's private life was previously made public back in 2018 when he was accused of a variety of assault and abuse allegations in connection to his wife and two former friends that date back to 2015. 

He was detained in Los Angeles on November 21 2018 for felony battery charges in connection to an attack on venture capitalist, Randall Kaplan.

In a temporary restraining order, Kaplan said that his former friend attacked him and hit him more than 50 times on Halloween while dressed as a 'Top Gun' pilot. He also accused Gimelstob of threatening him. 

Gimelstob is also said to have thrown a tantrum over a call made during a 2017 doubles tennis match between Gabriel Joseph, Danilo Kawasaki and an unnamed fourth. 

'I asked my partner if the ball was in,' Joseph said. 'Justin overheard, he comes to the net and asks me, 'Oh, did you think that was in?' I said, 'To be honest, I think it was in.' He said, 'Oh well if you think I need to cheat to beat you, you're stupid.''

'As I walked back he said, 'If you start something, I am going to f—ing finish with my left arm. I will hit you.' And at the next changeover, I was wiping my face on a towel when he called me a f—-t and said, 'That towel suits your feminine quality.''

Another incident, from November 2016, had Gimelstob involved in an altercation with Kris Thabit at a Santa Monica restaurant. Thabit was a friend of the tennis star's estranged wife, Cary. 

In March 2016, Gimelstob was kicked out of R+D Kitchen after yelling at Thabit in a 'hostile threatening manner, accusing me of having flirted with his wife Cary,' court documents stated.

The athlete was said to have waited for Thabit to pay his bill before launching into a physical attack on the man and a companion. 

'Mr. Gimelstob was following close behind. He accused me of running away and being afraid of him,' Thabit said in the document, the New York Post reported. 

'I replied that I was, in fact, trying to avoid him … At some point, as I was retrieving my cellphone from the ground because Mr. Gimelstob had knocked it out of my rear pocket, Mr. Gimelstob jumped on my back and started hitting me.'

Following that incident, Gimelstob filed a temporary restraining order against Thabit and claimed that the man pushed him three times. 

'The momentum of the push sent me outside,' Gimelstob asserted. 

Cary Gimelstob, a psychologist, claimed that her estranged husband first abused her in February 2015. She claimed that the Tennis Channel analyst tackled her and pinned her to the ground after she saw something on his phone, according to a domestic restraining order filed in 2016. 

Cary accused Justin of assaulting her twice in front of their son in December 2016. 

'Justin also informed me that he had placed a video recording device in my bedroom and had recordings of me having sex with another man and intended to show them to [our son],' Cary Gimelstob said. 'Justin also broke into the house I was living in and threatened to continue breaking into the house I was living in in the future.' 

Her estranged husband denied the allegations and filed a domestic restraining order in response. He claimed to have been 'living in fear of Cary and her powerful, influential and wealthy' family.      

Prior to meeting Shakira and after his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, Waterloo Road star Lucien went on to play main character Emily's love interest in hit Netflix drama Emily In Paris.

The Burnley-born actor, whose first role was as a child model for Marks & Spencer when he was ten, is deemed to be the perfect age to play Bond and is among the names tipped to take over from Daniel Craig. 

Shakira and Cardi B, meanwhile, recently spoke about working on the track during an interview with Billboard, and the Me Gusta singer revealed that she had planned on contacting the rapper to set up a potential collaboration.

'We were always discussing internally if it was a good idea to put someone on this song. I always pictured Cardi on this song. I reached out, and here we are,' she said.

Cardi B admitted that she had been hoping to be able to collaborate with Shakira for an extended period of time.

'I knew this day would come. It came...I don't care if she wants me to meow — I'm doing it. I cannot wait. Seriously, that is my dream,' she stated.
