Kamala Harris gets NO boost from Democratic National Convention

Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump by four points, according to a new Morning Consult poll.

It shows the Democrtatic nominee leads the Republican by 48 percent to 44 percent.

That is the same margin as before Harris gave her prime-time address at the Democratic National Convention last week.

Usually, presidential nominees get a boost from their convention speech.

Kamala Harris has just four days until her self-imposed deadline for a sit-down interview

The self-imposed deadline for Kamala Harris to finally engage in a sit-down interview is quickly approaching.

There are only four days until the end of August – and earlier in the month the vice president told reporters traveling with her in Michigan that she hoped to sit down for an extended interview before month’s end.

It’s been 37 days since Harris entered the 2024 race and in that time, the vice president has not engaged in a sit-down interview or held a formal press conference to field questions from members of the media.

And Donald Trump’s team has not let supporters forget that Harris hasn’t been open with the media since launching her campaign just last month.

The Republican ticket has started leaning into their openness with the press and is holding more media availabilities than ever. Vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance even began taking questions from reporters during his campaign stops in front of supporters.
