A Texas Roadhouse server from Florida has taken to TikTok to complain about the mean tip she received after she served a family of three, just minutes before closing time.

The waitress, who goes by the name Gina, explained how on a $184 order she received just a $2 tip.

The gratuity falls well short of the usual 18-20% tip that restaurant servers often receive - which would have seen Gina take home close to $37.

'It was a mom, a dad and a kid - and they each sat there having a full conversation with whoever the hell they were talking to,' Gina explained.

A Texas Roadhouse server from Florida, named Gina, ranted on TikTok about receiving a meager $2 tip on a $184 bill from a family of three just before closing time

Gina works at one of the six locations of Texas Roadhouse in the state of Florida

'Me and my trainee went right up to the table saying "He guys, are you guy ready?" - and they are just full on ignoring us as if we are not standing in front of them. Blatant disrespect,' she said.

Although the trio paid in cash, even that was unusual with the family using 86 dollar bills in their transaction to settle the tab.

Gina did not say which location of Texas Roadhouse she works at - although there are just six locations in the Sunshine State.

She continued to air her frustration in the three minute long video noting how the family took ten minutes to decide - three minutes of which was with the family staring at the menu in silence.

'I gave you bread to-go. I gave you drinks to-go. You did not get bad service because me and my trainee did not let you know that we were annoyed,' Gina revealed noting how she has worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years.

Gina said she felt disrespected as the family ignored her and then paid in an unusual manner with 86 single dollar bills

Many of Gina's TikTok videos reflect on life working as a server in a restaurant

'It will never not infuriate me when it happens. Treating your server that way is just a blatant disrespect for your fellow human,' Gina suggested.

'As you walked out the restaurant did it feel good to you? Did you feel okay doing that?' she asked, as she became visibly more angry and upset.

In the video, which has received 219,000 views, Gina went further still:  'People like that have no conscience. They have no kindness in their soul. Whoever you are - you suck! You absolutely suck!

'I hope your kid doesn’t grow up to be like you even though they probably will.'

Gina generated a host of sympathy for the way in which she was treated online.

‘I will die on this hill - the hard people push to eat close to closing, the ruder they are, and they don’t tip!!!’, wrote server Jen in the comments.

‘My favorite is when they pay cash and tell me to keep the change as my tip with a big ole smile and it’s like 36 cents. Like no you keep it dude, can’t even pay for a bus ride with this but thanks’, added another.

‘I always say everyone should work in that industry first so they know how to treat people in that industry,’ added Penny Holsonbake.
