The View host Sunny Hostin has claimed that Melania Trump 'hates' her husband Donald Trump and thinks that the former First Lady has spoken out in favor of abortion rights in her new book as a way of 'undercutting his bid' for the upcoming US Election.
During Thursday's episode of the ABC daytime show, Sunny, 55, and the rest of the panel were keen to discuss Melania's recent comments about abortion, which included her saying: 'Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard.'
After watching a video clip of Melania talking about reproductive rights, Whoopi, 68, smirked and pretended to look shocked as mother-of-two Sunny surmised: 'I think she hates him, we can all agree on that, that's a given. I also think that she wants to take him out.
'She does not want to be the First Lady anymore,' before referring to when Trump was President, adding: 'She destroyed the rose garden. Who hates Christmas? Melania Trump hates Christmas. She doesn't want to decorate for Christmas, she doesn't want to sleep in the same room as him, she can't tolerate him.'
Whoopi was quick to butt in and said: 'Allegedly!' as Sunny continued: 'So I really think that this is her way of undercutting his bid for the presidency because then she doesn't have to deal with him anymore.

Sunny went on to claim that Melania's new book is 'her way of undercutting his bid for the presidency'
'But this is how they're simpatico... she needs the money because he's broke. So, she wants to make the money, now her memoir is all buzzy and now we're all talking about it, maybe now she's not as bad as she is.
'I think that she wants to take him out and she's doing a pretty damn good job with that,' the lawyer claimed, but Joy Behar was having none of it and stated: 'I totally disagree with that.'
Former White House Aide Alyssa Farah Griffin, who used to work for Trump, then chimed in and told Sunny: 'The only reason I disagree there is - we forget this - if Donald Trump loses, he likely goes to jail.
'We actually try the January 6th case, we actually try the documents case. I'm not convinced Melania Trump wants to see the father of her children in jail.'
'She doesn't even sleep with him! She doesn't talk to him!' Sunny fired back as Alyssa, 35, admitted: 'I honestly don't know anything about their personal relationship.'
Joy, 81, waded in and said of Melania's stance: 'Sixty two percent of Americans oppose overthrowing Roe v. Wade, the Republican party knows this. I think they put her up to this. I think it's a big scam.
'They put her out there as the face of the American population that wants to have abortion rights and they figure, well maybe she'll talk - the only problem is she doesn't talk to him... probably.'
'But besides that, I think that this is just a big lie. It's another lie from that area. Don't buy it,' the comedian added.

Sunny also claimed that Melania, pictured here in 2021, doesn't want to be First Lady again
Alyssa Farah Griffin (right) argued that Melania wouldn't want to see Donald go to jail
Alyssa then said: 'I agree. I think it's strategic, even though it was written a while ago, and I think they think this is gonna give Republicans permission or independence to be like, "Oh, I guess I could vote for him because people who support abortion can."
'But it's also money. Who was gonna buy this book outside of MAGA diehards? But now it's buzzy and now we're talking about it because she's putting some stuff out there that's more interesting.'
Their cohost, Ana Navarro, who wasn't on the panel for Thursday's show, also shared her thoughts online and posted about it on Instagram.
Sharing a screenshot of an online article about Melania's quotes, Ana, 52, captioned the image: 'Well, well, well. Melania coming out as strongly pro-choice a month before the Election, was not on my bingo card.
'JD Vance tried to soften his stance and come out as all compassionate during debate. And now this. Folks, don’t fall for it. They know they have a gender gap with women and are trying to have it both ways.'
The View host continued: 'Actions speak louder than words. We already know what Trump did. He appointed 3 uber-conservative Justices that over-turned Roe. Women have suffered, even died as a result.
'Trump has shown us he will capitulate to the Right. He showed us who he is the first time. Believe him!'
