A senior PBS correspondent has apologized for claiming Donald Trump tried to talk Israel out of a ceasefire deal to stop it helping Kamala Harris' campaign.

Judy Woodruff said in Chicago on Monday: 'The reporting is that former President Trump is on the phone with the Prime Minister of Israel, urging him not to cut a deal right now, because it’s believed that would help the Harris campaign.'

'Who knows whether that will come about or not, but I have to think that the Harris campaign would like for President Biden to do what presidents do, which is work on that one'.

She then admitted she made a 'mistake' and clarified that she was basing the story on other reporting.

Woodruff's u-turn came as Harris' VP pick Tim Walz headlined the third of the Democratic National Convention, but it was his 17-year-old son who stole the hearts of the nation.

She then admitted she made a 'mistake' and clarified that she was basing the story on other reporting.

'I want to clarify my remarks on the PBS News special on Monday night about the ongoing cease fire talks in the Middle East,' she posted on X.

'As I said, this was not based on my original reporting; I was referring to reports I had read, in Axios and Reuters, about former President Trump having spoken to the Israeli Prime Minister.

In the live TV moment, I repeated the story because I hadn't seen later reporting that both sides denied it. This was a mistake and I apologize for it.'

Inside the 'Hotties for Harris' DNC after-party: from Plan B vending machines and pregnancy tests to chaotic Gen-Z influencers

Typically the sign of a bad party is one where all of its guests are glued to their phones. One post-convention gathering in Chicago aimed for exactly that.

Late Tuesday night another niche, identity-driven group of liberals gathered at an exclusive and carefully curated event: the Hotties for Harris after-party.

The party centered around feminism, sex and its after-effects. Encompassed in pinks and brat-greens, messages that adorned the walls were designed to shock: the exact type of content that does well on platforms like TikTok.

The morning-after emergency contraceptive bill was being distributed out of a gumball machine. 'Plan B, nom nom nom,' the machine read. In fact early pregnancy tests, morning-after pills and UTI medication were distributed in every room of the event.

Nancy Pelosi says 'thank you Joe' after orchestrating humiliating plot to push Biden out of the race and ruin their friendship

Nancy Pelosi praised Joe Biden profusely in her remarks to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, thanking him for his service.

The words were notable from the former speaker after she played a large role in convincing Biden to exit the presidential race.

'He established one of the most successful presidencies of modern times,' she said. 'Thank you Joe.'

But her warm words for the president may be too late.

The Bidens – particularly Jill Biden – are known to hold a grudge.

And they are known to still be angry at Nancy Pelosi.

Bill Clinton, 78, says 'I'm still younger than Trump' in raspy speech

Former President Bill Clinton channeled some of the relief inside the Democratic National Convention hall Wednesday when he said a 'load's off our shoulders' while praising Kamala Harris and saluted President Joe Biden for dropping out.

He made the candid comment while praising Harris in her selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Clinton, a former Arkansas governor, talked up Walz's time as a coach and a 'crack shot' who backed an assault weapons ban.

'So armed with her first decision Kamala Harris confronts an interesting dilemma,' he said. Then he diverted: 'We're going to walk out of here feeling pretty good, I think. We've got energy, we are happy. We feel like a load's off our shoulders. And we know we are just being asked to fight the same fight that the forces of progress have had to fight for 250 years. And in the face of stiff and often violent opposition, we have to find way to go forward together,' Clinton said.

He made the remark on a night when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is credited with helping push Biden out the door with her public and private moves, herself got a rousing welcome from the crowd, which now faces an election with a nominee who is rising in the polls.

Like Barack Obama, the Clintons had put out a statement backing President Biden after his debate disaster last month. But some of their ex-aides joined former Obama officials in calling for Biden's replacement.

Clinton made the comment about the load being lifted in a 28-minute speech where he compared Biden to George Washington for yielding to calls to end his campaign while facing a potential blowout in battleground states against Donald Trump.

'And then he did something that’s really hard to do: He voluntarily gave up political power,' Clinton said. 'George Washington knew that and he did it. And he set the standard for us serving two terms before it was mandatory. It helped his legacy and it will enhance Joe Biden’s legacy.'

Donald Trump has ridiculed Democrats for focusing on him rather than the crime and the border during their Chicago convention.

The former president claimed he had been mentioned 297 times during speeches at the United Center in Chicago, and other issues have been barely touched.

He mocked the four-day event in Illinois as a 'little party' and compared the Windy City to the Afghanistan 'warzone'.

Trump then called Kamala Harris a 'radical left Marxist' and ripped into San Francisco, buy suggesting theives can 'steal anything' up to $950 and not get prosecuted.

'We are giving our government away when we put two lunatics like these guys in office,' he said referring to Harris and Walz.

'The world is lauging at us'.

Lesbian Michigan AG issues bloodcurdling warning to conservative Supreme Court Justices at DNC

The Michigan Attorney General issued a startling challenge to Supreme Court Justices who might consider relitigating same-sex marriage protections.

Speaking at the Democratic National Convention, Dana Nessel said anyone attempting to deny her right to marriage would need to pry her wedding band 'from my cold, dead, gay hand'.

Nessel, who is a lesbian, also touted Kamala Harris' action as California's attorney general in refusing to defend in court the state's ban on same-sex marriage.

She told the audience: 'She refused to argue that some families should have fewer rights than other families. It meant a lot. She was fighting for families like mine.'

According to The Detroit News, Nessel brought a civil case overturning Michigan's gay marriage ban and is the state's first openly gay attorney general.

Donald Trump rejects 'totally false' claims he was rude to Queen Elizabeth: 'I was her favorite president'

Former President Donald Trump took aim on Wednesday at claims in a new biography of Queen Elizabeth II that she found him 'very rude' as the work of a 'sleazebag' with a book to sell.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, he said they had spent hours together and had warmed to each other during their meetings.

'I heard I was her favorite president,' he said.

The sensational claims are made in an upcoming biography, 'A Voyage Around the Queen,' by Craig Brown.

He writes how the late queen confided in another guest that she had 'particularly disliked' the way he looked over her shoulder as if in search of someone more interesting.

The 'next Obama' Wes Moore sparks frenzy from Democrat's about a 2028 White House run at convention

Democrats are tripping over themselves in an effort to be among the first to predict that Maryland Gov. Wes Moore will run for president one day.

Moore, 45, stole the show at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday in a speech where he took aim at former President Donald Trump and listed his accomplishments – like becoming the first black governor of Maryland last year.

Despite first winning a race for public office in 2022, Moore has already been dubbed the 'next Obama.' He earned a coveted speaking slot at the Convention in Chicago after speaking at the 2007 event backing Barack Obama's first nomination.

Greeted by an enthusiastic crowd and delivering a series of zingers, Democrats are looking ahead to the future of the Party.

'Have had an opportunity to get to know Maryland Governor Wes Moore some and if there were Vegas odds on a future president, I'd put it on him. He's got the goods,' sports journalist Jemele Hill wrote on X.

Trump says he would be 'honored' by an RFK Jr. endorsement

Donald Trump said he would be honored if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsed him when he ends his presidential campaign.

The independent candidate is expected to drop out of the 2024 race on Friday and his expected to back the former president.

Trump, 78, told Fox and Friends on Friday that RFK Jr. is 'very respected' and claims the Democrats did to him what they did to President Joe Biden.

'Women love some of his policies, he was a democrat and they treated him very badly.

'They basically made it impossible for him. I think he would have overtaken Biden.'

Tim Walz's 17-year-old son Gus in floods of tears as his dad takes the stage to accept pick as Kamala Harris' running mate

It was an emotional moment for the Walz family as they watched their patriarch accept the Democratic vice presidential nomination.

'That's my dad,' Gus, 17, shouted as he stood up and proudly pointed at his dad on the convention stage.

It was his tearful moment that captured hearts around the country and all over social media. The two kids sat in the front row of the convention with their mom Gwen as their dad made his debut on the national political stage.
