The three-bedroom, two-bath home - listed at $675,000 – is located in the city42 of Leander, about 30 miles north of the state's capital.

Set on three acres of land, the quaint property is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac boasts 2,048 sq ft and is surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife.

Hawaiian native Tulsi Gabbard appears to be laying down roots in the red state of Texas after leaving the Democratic Party in 2022

DailyMail.com can reveal Gabbard purchased a rustic but charming three-bedroom, two-bath property in Leander, Texas, a suburb 30 miles north of Austin, in mid March

The political turncoat, pictured with her husband Abraham Williams, grew up and began her career in public service in the Aloha State

Features include an open floor plan with breakfast bar, stone counters, high ceilings and a built in sound system.

The 42-year-old Army Reserve officer, who was born in Leloaloa, American Samoa, has been based in Hawaii where she was raised and first began her career in public service - after being elected to the state's House of Representatives at the age of 21.

Gabbard is not believed to have any political ambitions in Texas and also remains an active member of the U.S. Army Reserve as a lieutenant colonel of a California-based unit, for which she is expected to be going on duty in April.

She is also gearing up for the release of her new book, For Love of Country: Leave the Democrat Party Behind, on April 30.

Previously a rising star of the Democratic Party – even running as a progressive presidential candidate in 2020 – Gabbard sensationally quit the party in October 2022, setting off shockwaves and a political tsunami for Dems.

In a blistering video and series of posts shared on X, formerly Twitter, she criticized the party's 'cowardly wokeness' and accused them of 'stoking anti-white racism'.

'I can no longer remain in today's Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution,' she said at the time.

Gabbard previously owned a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath home in Washington, D.C.'s Dupont Park neighborhood but sold the property for $950,000, in October 2021

She has since been leasing a Hawaii house on the island of Oahu with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, worth $2.5million and located just two blocks from spectacular Kailua Beach

Gabbard began dating her second husband, freelance cinematographer Abraham Williams while he was working on her first campaign for Congress in 2012

Gabbard and Williams were married by a Hindu priest in a Vedic ceremony in 2015

But, today, she is singing loudly from the MAGA hymn sheet, repeatedly saying she would be open to being Trump's running mate.

In an interview last week with Tucker Carlson, she doubled down, saying: 'The Biden Harris administration and the Democrat elite across Washington are intentionally politicizing and weaponizing the tools of our own government and their friends in Big Tech and social media and their friends in the mainstream media to take away our freedoms, to take away our right to free speech, to violate our privacy and our civil liberties.

'They have become the party of war.

'Unfortunately the Democrat Party has become a party that is undermining the very fabric of our country, of our freedom, of our constitution and the rule of law which is why ultimately I left the Democratic Party.

'It's why I am sounding the alarm bells as we head into this very critical election year about really what's at stake.'

The ex-Democrat is now being considered as a potential running mate for Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

The former president confirmed last month that Gabbard was among six Republicans on his shortlist for vice president during a town hall.

Gabbard married first husband Eduardo Tamayo in 2002 when she was 21. They divorced in 2006.

She married Williams, 35, a freelance cinematographer, in 2015, with a Hindu priest performing a Vedic ceremony.

They had known each other for years but sparks flew while he was working on her first campaign for Congress in 2012.

'As we got to know each other, we realized how much we actually had in common. We went for a long walk on our first date, and ended up at a pickup volleyball game,' she told The New York Times.

Williams, 35, proposed off the south shore of Oahu where the couple were surfing.

'The sun was just about to dip under the horizon' she told the newspaper.

'He paddled over, pulled out a double-tethered contraption attached to a gold duct-tape-covered flotation device, with a beautiful ring attached, and said, 'I have a question for you: 'Will you marry me?'

Leander, the couple's new home nestled in the heart of Texas, saw rapid growth, especially during the pandemic.

The population jumped from 50,000 in 2020 to 75,000 in 2022.

According to the City of Leander website, in 2009 it was the 37th fastest growing city in the country.

Officials describe the city as 'warm and welcoming.'

It was first called Bagdad and grew up near the Austin and Northwest Railroad that connected Austin to Abilene, 220 miles away.

As the small town expanded it changed its name to Leander, named in honor of railroad company official and former Austin mayor Leander Brown.

'Leander is a city that boasts a unique charm and energy,' says the city's website.

In a dramatic announcement shared on Twitter, now X, on October 2022, Gabbard revealed she was leaving the Democratic Party in a blistering video followed by a series of tweets

The ex-representative for Hawaii 's 2nd district and United States Army Reserve officer accused the party of 'demonizing the police', 'protecting criminals', 'believing in open borders' and 'dragging us even closer to nuclear war '

'Over the years, it has transformed into a bustling environment that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, economic prosperity, and a warm community spirit.

'As you explore this vibrant city, you'll notice a palpable buzz in the air. The city's population has continued to grow, which is a testament to its growing appeal.

'People from all over the country are flocking to this gem of a city, enticed by its natural splendor, strategic location, and vibrant economy.

'Leander's strategic location near Austin is undoubtedly one of its biggest draws.

'With the capital city of Texas just a stone's throw away, businesses in Leander have access to a diverse pool of talent, cutting-edge technologies, and a thriving startup scene.'

Gabbard sold her previous home in Washington D.C. on October 1, 2021 for $950,000, after purchasing it in June 2014 for $599,000.

The four bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2,400 sq ft property is located in the Dupont Park neighborhood of the nation's capital.

Since then, she has been leasing a Hawaii house on Oahu with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, worth $2.5million and located just two blocks from spectacular Kailua Beach with pristine waters for swimming and surfing.

She also has two companies formed in her name: TOA Studios LLC (Hawaii, 2022) and Tulsi Media LLC (Hawaii 2021).
