US Open champion Aryna Sabalenka's beauty secrets revealed after stunning post-match transformation

1 week ago 3

This week, tennis champion Aryna Sabalenka made history as she took home this year's US Open trophy in an intense match against Jessica Pegula - her first one ever.

But after she won the stunning game, Sabalenka underwent a quick transformation by hair and makeup artists for the champion photoshoot as she celebrated her big win in New York City - and FEMAIL has all the details of her vibrant glam.

Belarus-born Sabalenka did a quick change into a sizzling sleeveless red gown complete with a turtleneck and thigh-high slit, which was complemented by her bronzed look by makeup artist Monika Crouch and loose waves by Julien Farel stylist Jonn Rhamani.

The look was pulled together with a matching coat of red nail polish and a pair of chic, strappy heels.

'The red nightgown was the epitome of her good luck has come in, you know?'  Rhamani told DailyMail.com.

Belarus-born Sabalenka did a quick change into a sizzling sleeveless red gown complete with a turtleneck and thigh-high slit - and DailyMail.com has all the details behind her look

Her bronzed look was by makeup artist Monika Crouch and her loose waves were crafted by  Julien Farel stylist Jonn Rhamani

'And so we wanted to give her sexy, sultry curls versus beach waves,' he continued.

In order to make the vision come to life, Rhamani used the Restore Shampoo by Julien Farel, along with the salon's volumizer for some texture and bounce.

While they curled the tennis player's hair, Rhamani admitted that they really had to 'work in' the volumizer, as they were dealing with a rain storm that night and wanted to make sure everything really held up.

Luckily, it did - and Sabalenka looked stunning as she snapped her photos for the champion shoot and beyond.

'She already has amazing hair... so I was already working with fantastic material, as they say,' he explained about tennis champion. 'It's an amazing canvas.'

When it came to her makeup, Sabalenka's makeup artist, Monika Crouch, was going for a luminous, bronzed look to match her post-match glow.

It was also important to Crouch to make sure that she was highlighting Sabalenka's natural beauty.

'I kind of looked at some images from makeup that she had before, and I was just aiming for something that was very classic,' Crouch explained to DailyMail.com.

'She's beautiful. She has very good, striking features,' Crouch said of the US Open winner

'She's beautiful. She has very good, striking features,' she continued of the US Open winner. 'So I thought it would be good to do something that kind of just enhanced her classic beauty, so I did a lot of bronze-y, good skin.'

The makeup artist only had 20 minutes to complete the look, so she had to work fast - starting off with the $69 Armani Beauty Luminous Silk foundation, and mixed it with a little bit of the $47 IT Cosmetics CC cream that has an illuminating finish.

She followed that with the $32 Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer in the shade medium, along with a touch of Westman Atelier peach highlight, as well as Rare Beauty's $23 Soft Pinch liquid blush and Nars concealer.

For Sabalenka's eyeshadow, Crouch used a mix of two palettes - the $54 Better Than Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette by Too Faced, and a bronze-toned Tom Ford palette that has unfortunately been discontinued, called Coco Mirage.

However, there was one element of her eye look that Crouch wasn't so sure of at first - and that was whether or not to put eyelashes on the tennis star.

But she ended up doing so, and tells DailyMail.com it helped pull together the entire makeup look.

'It always kind of opens your eye, and it's really good for photographs without looking overbearing or taking over,' Crouch said.

She used lashes by the brand Ardell Naked Lashes in the size 420, which she calls 'beautiful,' explaining that they're 'short' yet 'full.'
