A Waffle House worker has blasted the popular restaurant chain, claiming she was fired after filming a viral TikTok video inside an Atlanta branch.

Yadira Ramirez's account blew up after she filmed herself and co-workers performing Latto's track 'Brokey' on shift - a trend which caught on after the rapper promised $10,000 to the fan who posted the best video.

The clip of the colleagues lip-syncing the rap on September 19 as they washed dishes, ate waffles and splayed cash has racked up 28.2 million views to date.

But it also had unintended consequences - as Ramirez revealed in a video posted the next day that she had been fired after six years of service.

Rapper Latto (pictured) encouraged fans to film videos of themselves performing her track 'Brokey' - promising the person with the best video $10,000

'I just got fired because of that video of Big Latto's challenge,' Ramirez revealed.

'Yey, I'm glad I put six years into a company that would fire me and literally... a day of posting one video, ONE VIDEO, that harms nobody, that everybody was actually literally rooting for and happy about, but whatever.

'Smart decision, smart move, you know. And then they put me on, it's called an EFR list or something, basically I can never get re-hired again.'

Ramirez' Latto dance video starts with her co-worker, who is wearing a red branded Waffle House hat, spritzing a hose at the camera.

It then switches from the restaurant to the drive-thru window, where another colleague displays a wad of cash collected from customers while lip-syncing.

The next video shows a line of Waffle House workers dancing, before panning to a receipt reading 'BROKEY' two employees eating waffles.

According to Ramirez' TikTok, she worked at one of the Atlanta, Georgia Waffle Houses.

In subsequent TikTok updates, she said she was fired by a manager who was present at the time of the video recording, but was not involved in them.

However, the tables turned again for Ramirez days later, when her videos appeared to attract the attention of Latto herself, who met up with the fired employee.

Ramirez posted a video of herself dancing with Latto on her TikTok - with Ramirez in a red dress throwing dollar bills while Latto twerked beside her.

DailyMail.com has contacted Ramirez and Waffle House for comment.
