Where is Julie Chrisley? Fans speculate where disgraced reality TV star is after prison says she is 'not in their custody'

1 week ago 12

Fans are asking about the whereabouts of famed reality TV star Julie Chrisley after the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) revealed she is no longer in their custody.

The discovery was made last week, when a Reddit user posted a screenshot from the agency website showing how the former Atlanta resident - found guilty of financial crimes alongside husband Todd in 2022 - was no longer 'in BOP custody'.

That still stands, after the US Marshals Service said Thursday the 51-year-old was in their custody, as she awaits re-sentencing in federal court.

The agency handles the transport of federal prisoners, though her whereabouts remain unknown. There is a federal prison transfer facility in Atlanta, Georgia, and Chrisley is due in court September 25.

It remains unclear why The Chrisley Knows Best star BOP custody so early, and the BOP declined to provide location information due to 'safety, security, or privacy' concerns.

Fans are asking about the whereabouts of famed reality TV star Julie Chrisley - seen here just before her incarceration in 2023 - after the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) revealed she is no longer in their custody

'Incarcerated individuals who were previously in FBOP custody and who have not completed their sentence may be outside FBOP custody for a period of time for court hearings, medical treatment, or other reasons,' a spokesperson said.

The bureau's inmate locator still shows the convicted fraudster's as May 7, 2028.

Her location, as of Sunday morning, says 'Not in BOP custody.'

Daughter Savannah, who starred alongside her imprisoned parents and recently appeared at the RNC, spoke about the pair's criminal case on her podcast Tuesday, but did not mention her mother's whereabouts.

During an episode in July, she revealed how the heat in Julie's Kentucky prison had caused her mother to become 'physically ill.'

'In the visitation room, thank goodness, there's air conditioning,' Savannah said about the alleged prison conditions at FMC (Federal Medical Center) in Lexington,

'But outside the visitation room, there is zero air conditioning.

'The heat index was 105, 110 and that's what Mom's living in - in conditions like that with absolutely no air.

'And it can be 100 degrees inside the building,' The 27-year-old continued.

Julie and husband Todd were found guilty of 12 counts of financial crimes in 2022, before being sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison. The pair appeared for 10 years on Chrisley Knows Best

Both sentences have since been reduced, after an appeals court found a judge in the 2022 trial miscalculated them. Julie's sentence,

'She literally said that she got physically sick because she got so hot.

'So, you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they're passing out. But yet, there's service dogs that have air conditioning,' Savannah said.

'None of it makes sense to me.

'It is so beyond inhumane that you cannot make it up. And it's tough.'

Airing the comments days before appearing at the RNC in Milwaukee to bash the Biden Administration for her parents' imprisonment, she added: 'Mom is super excited for visitation because she got to be in an air-conditioned room.

'It makes me realize how much we take for granted.'

Her parents were found guilty of 12 counts of financial crimes in 2022, before being sentenced to a combined 19 years in early 2023.

Then, in June, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals vacated Julie's sentence, due to insufficient evidence linking her to financial crimes feds had said she committed before 2007.

The court did still affirm the lower court's guilty ruling for the party, paving the way for Julie to be resentenced by the lower courts this month.

Patriarch Todd, meanwhile, is still set to serve out the duration of his now-10-year sentence for defrauding banks with fraudulent loans and conspiring to commit fraud against the IRS until January 2033.

As of writing, he will not be resentenced.

Both made their name on Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014.

It followed Todd, an Atlanta-based, self-made millionaire, and the family's various exploits.

It came to abrupt close in 2023 following the couple's convictions, which came after an in-depth probe from the Department of Justice.

Julie's hearing is still slated for September 25,where she will receive a new sentence for her bank fraud and tax evasion.
