A 35-year-old woman was found dead at the foot of a luxury high-rise in Manhattan's swanky Upper East Side on Thursday night.

Her injuries were 'consistent with a fall,' reports the New York Post.

The woman's body was found just before 7pm outside of The Brittany, a building located steps from Mayor Eric Adams' residence at Gracie Mansion.

The police described her injuries as showing that she fell from an 'elevated surface.' DailyMail.com has reached out to the NYPD for more information on the tragedy.

Initial reports described the woman as 'clinging to life' after being found, she passed away shortly after being rushed to nearby New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital.

According to The Brittany's website, the building boasts a 'stately framed entrance with 24-hour doorman, landscaped gardens with sparkling fountain, elegant two-story lobby, landscaped rooftop sundeck with mesmerizing panoramic river and city views, 7,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness club, 55-foot indoor swimming pool, and men’s and women’s saunas.'

Most of the apartments in the building have views of both the East and Harlem rivers.
