One woman thanks Tina Turner for more than just her music - crediting the late singer-songwriter for her fabulous physique at 66.

Stephanie regularly shows off her incredible figure on TikTok, sharing her workouts with her followers - but it's the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll who inspires her fitness routines.

'I've always admired Tina Turner's strong powerful legs,' Stephanie, who posts under seniorstrong to TikTok, wrote in a video.

'Which is one of the reasons why I train legs every three days,' the mom-of-two continued, showing herself working out in a leg extension and curl machine.

The fitness influencer said she not only trained for aesthetic reasons, but because she believed leg strength was 'the most reliable predictor of our physical functionality later in life.'

'Greater leg strength can lower the risk of cognitive diseases like dementia and Alzheimer's,' she continued. 'Train to be stronger, train to live longer.'

According to Stephanie, she has always been interested in fitness and began working out consistently from when she was about 31.

However, as her body changed as she got older, she changed the way she worked out.

'Once I hit 62 I started to focus on lifting heavier weights to build & maintain my muscle mass,' she explained in a comment on TikTok.

She now lifts five times a week, training a different muscle group each time.

However, the 66-year-old beauty says she makes sure to train her legs every three days.

'This way my muscles can recover and grow,' she explains.

'I do it to prevent muscle loss,' Stephanie added in another TikTok.

'I do it to keep my bones strong, I do it to be this fit for life.'

Stephanie also makes sure to properly fuel her body for her workouts, saying she aims to eat 105g of protein a day.

'I start my day [with a] whey protein shake,' she explained.

'My meals all feature protein mainly from eggs, poultry or fish.

'Post-workout I might have a spinach and feta cheese omelet. Dinner is either poultry, pork or fish and a veggie.

'I don't count calories or track macros. Food is fuel.'

TikTok users love the fitness fanatic's videos - and reasons for wanting to train like she does.

'Yes to it all! Training to be better and live longer,' one user commented.

'I'm 66 as well, started going back to the gym, you have been very encouraging thank you,' another said.
