A woman whose mother went out with Dodi Fayed before he dated Diana killed herself after splitting from her husband, an inquest heard.
Annabelle Lucia Scarlet Delicata, 38, was found hanging at the family home in Hove on January 18.
Her mother, Louise Dyrbusz, dated Dodi the 1980s and featured in Tom Bower's book about Mohamed Fayed.
The pair were together before the Dodi met Princess Diana in 1986.
Mrs Delicata went on a Buddhist retreat in Thailand over Christmas after her husband, David Delicata, asked for a divorce. While she was away he moved out of the family home.
The inquest at a coroner's court in Brighton heard she returned on January 4 and Mr Delicata said he last saw her on January 8 when they had an argument in the street at their home. Mr Delicata believed she was leaving for Tenerife on January 11.
The 38-year-old contacted her psychiatrist on January 8 and requested an appointment for the next day.
She did not respond to their reply or when her doctor visited the family home on January 12.

Mrs Delicata had not been seen for more than week before she was found,
A friend let herself into the £1m family home on January 18 when nobody had heard from the 38-year-old.
Coroner Gareth Jones said there was no sign of anybody else being involved in Mrs Delicata's death.
He said: 'She got back from Thailand on January 4.
'Her husband last saw her on the 8th when they had argument in the street.
'He thought she was going to Tenerife on 11th.
'On balance of probability, I am satisfied she did an act which ended her life and she intended to end her life and I will make a conclusion of suicide.'
The inquest heard Mrs Delicata had a history of mental illness and two failed suicide attempts.
She had been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ME and emotionally unstable personality disorder.
Her death was recorded by the inquest as January 18 at home.
The court heard Mrs Delicata left a number of letters addressed to family, friends including stepfather James Cartland.
Mr Cartland, cousin of romantic novelist and step-grandmother of Princess Diana Barbara Cartland, had reconnected with Mrs Delicata after losing touch for several years.
In one letter, she wrote: 'Daddy, this has got the better of me.'
In another letter to Mr Cartland, Mrs Delicata wrote: 'Out of the blue, Dave has decided to leave our marriage.
'I am shocked, devastated and heartbroken.'
In a statement, her mother said the family were devastated by the loss of her daughter.

A family spokesman said she would be 'Missed beyond words by the Delicata family, her father, James Cartland, and her many friends.'
In a statement for the inquest, Mr Delicata said the couple wed in 2012 after being together for three years.
He said: 'Anna enjoyed painting, choir singing, sewing and gardening and grew vegetables at home.
'She had had quite a turbulent past. In December I said I wanted a divorce.
'She wanted to go to a Buddhist retreat for Christmas, so I paid for her to go.
'She said she had a terrible time. I thought she was going to fly to Tenerife on the 11th.'
In an online tribute, her mother-in-law Rita Delicata wrote: 'You were such a wonderful person, full of love and respect, and was so very talented.
'I will miss you and love you always. Never forgotten, forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace sweetheart xxxx'
