A swarm of fans intending to fly to Perth and Sydney to see two of the world's largest musical acts have been grounded after their flights were cancelled last minute.
Adelaide-based fans of the British rock band who were excited to see their performance in Western Australia on Saturday and Sunday have had their hopes dashed when Virgin Australia announced that flight VA721 to Perth would not be leaving on Wednesday night nor Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, those looking to catch flight VA441 to Sydney to watch English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams on Thursday night also had their hopes dashed.
Devastated fans were told they could be reissued tickets for flights on Monday - after the gigs they were hoping to see.
A spokesperson for Virgin Australia told Daily Mail Australia that the flights were cancelled due to 'numerous factors including resourcing and airport curfews'.

'We can't believe they've given us a flight on Monday,' one woman told 10News, revealing that they will also miss plans made for the days before the concert.
Another said that catching another flight on short notice would set them back anywhere between $2,000-$6,000.
Tickets to Coldplay's only two concerts in Australia, supported by Australian musical heavyweights Amy Shark and Thelma Plum, set fans back between $107 and $260.
The cost to go see Williams were a bit more steep, starting at just under $200 for general admission or $345 for the 'rock DJ VIP package'.
'It's really annoying because we're students and we've already put down like, a grand on this and now we actually can't even go,' she told 10.
The spokesperson said the airline 'sincerely apologises to our guests who are impacted'.
Those flying to Sydney have been reissued tickets to depart the city of churches on Thursday, stopping at Launceston before arriving at their destination.
The second leg of the flight will touch down in Sydney at about 8pm, the same time that Williams' show starts, potentially leaving enough time to catch his hit song 'Angels'.
However those travelling to Perth have been told they will be on flights over the next few days, with some potentially missing the Coldplay concert.
Fans said they were told as they readied for boarding on Wednesday night and Thursday morning that their flights would not be taking off, and that rescheduled flights would not happen until after the weekend

Virgin customers stuck in Adelaide and wishing to make it to Perth this weekend have been urged to contact the airlines guest contact centre at 13 67 89.
Those affected by the cancellations are able to claim cash back for some of the money they have spent under the airline's guest compensation policy.
Those staying in a hotel can receive AUD$200-per-room per night while all travel between the airport and accommodation is also covered.
Up to AUD$30 per night can be claimed on dinner as well as the cost of 'reasonably priced personal items' can also be claimed by those who don't live in Adelaide.
Those who have not been able to be placed on a replacement flight have also been offered a refund.
