Was the most brutal marriage proposal rejection EVER a sham? New details emerge on the cage fighter whose girlfriend said no, in front of 20,000

New light has been shed on the viral moment of a defeated fighter having his marriage proposal rejected inside the cage.

After finding himself on the losing side of a two-on-one fight in the Czech organisation Clash of the Stars, Lukas Bukovaz got down on one knee in front of a capacity crowd in the Ostravar Arena.

The woman's immediate reaction probably should have been enough to convince Bukovatz that popping the question would not end successfully.

'Based on everything that's happened, I think probably not,' she said into the microphone. 'I don't think so.'

The clip has since gone viral on social media, with one repost receiving over ten million views on X.

However, it appears the incident may have actually been a promotional tool to build excitement for an upcoming fight.

In a post on social media the woman in question claimed that she and Bukovatz had not been together for several months, and that he had cheated on her with adult film performer Nikola Lauberova.

A fight between the scorned ex and Lauberova, who has previously appeared on Clash of the Stars, is reportedly in the works for a future event set for September.

'Unfortunately, he can't accept that we won't be after all this. Anyway, he still obviously loves me but I don't... the end.' She wrote on Instagram. 

'Anyway, to let you know what happened so that you are in the picture with Lukas, I have not been around since January, and since February I have had a great boyfriend. 

'I challenged Lauberova, so I hope that the match will be and if it is, I'll do everything [to train] for that.'
