Wealthy influencer hit by Microsoft and CrowdStrike outage shares videos of herself stuck in first class seat as she struggles to escape South of France

A fashion-savvy influencer is one of many fliers stuck in France due to the global Microsoft outage caused by an error from CrowdStrike.   

Brigette Pheloung confirmed her dilemma in a TikTok video she posted this morning that showed chaos at the airport.

She managed to make it onto her plane, but the wealthy influencer in first class asked TikTok users if they thought it would 'take off' in a video update.

Brigette, who currently lives in New York, has been in St Tropez with her twin sister, Danielle, since early this week.

Danielle was also in the video update, and like her sister, she was stuck in first class on their Delta flight. 

The Pheloung sisters participated in a Tory Burch photo shoot during their St Tropez trip.

They also spent time on the water with Millane Friesen and Chiara King, and attended a Tory Burch event at Nikki Beach Saint Tropez.

The pair planned to fly home today before the outage, which has grounded flights in the U.S. and caused global airline chaos. 

Delta, along with American and United Airlines, ordered a 'global ground stop,' according to Representative Eric Swalwell.

Although the Pheloung sisters' plane was halted, the Paris airport authority said in a statement that the outage did not impact its computer systems.

The issue was caused by a defect in the update to CrowdStrike's Falcon Sensor software, which analyzes connections to and from the Internet to determine whether malicious behavior occurred.

'This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed,' CrowdStrike said in a statement.

'We further recommend organizations ensure they’re communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels.'

It's unclear if Brigette and Danielle will be making it home today, but as of now, more than 2,000 US flights have been canceled due to the outage.

CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz issued an apology six hours after the 'blue screen of death.'

'We are deeply sorry for the impact that we have caused to our customers, to travelers, to anyone who has been affected by this, including our company,' Kurtz said in an interview with NBC’s Today.

He added that many of the affected customers are 'rebooting the system' but that it could take time for some that 'won't automatically recover.'

Besides airports, the outage has greatly affected hospitals, media outlets, banks, and various 911 services.

TikTok users who watched Brigette's videos wished her a safe return to the US, while others shared their alleged airport experience.  

At least two TikTokers who are flying out of European airports claimed they waited for hours, one for more than five.

'I’m supposed to be leaving from Naples to Paris with a final destination in Washington, DC. They've said nothing yet, but I’m hoping this is resolved soon,' a TikTok user wrote.

Others have suggested Brigette 'extend her stay' or fly to Portugal or Croatia instead.

One person wrote: 'I wish I was stuck in Europe. It’s always better getting stuck on your trip than never making your trip.'
