Welcome to Ally Pally! World Darts Championship gets underway with festive spirit in full flow as fans arrive dressed as Christmas trees and turkeys!

The World Darts Championship is back in roistering fashion as fans celebrated its return with a variety of festive outfits. 

Darts' premier competition is known for its vivid atmosphere and the supporters weren't about to upset the tradition. 

Fans arrived dressed in all the trimmings suitable for a white Christmas, including as turkeys and trees. 

There were plenty who sauntered in with less recognisably Christmassy guises, with lobsters, pineapples, and ketchup spotted among the crowd.

One chap had the ingenuity to turn up with a darts board wreathing his face, which ones hopes the players won't be confused by.
