Sue Bird has shut down speculation that she and fiancée Megan Rapinoe had gotten married, joking that they were dressed too well for a recent wedding of their friends.
The athletic power couple traveled to Wales for the nuptials of soccer players Jess Fishlock and Tziarra King - two of Rapinoe's former OL Reign teammates.
And an Instagram post from Bird recapping the event apparently caused fans to think she and Rapinoe had tied the knot themselves.
The WNBA legend later wrote on her Instagram story, 'PSA: Megan & I did NOT get married. Sorry for the confusion. I guess the fits were too good.'
For the ceremony, Rapinoe wore a black blazer dress while Bird wore a white double-breasted jacket.

The former USA soccer star Rapinoe was also seen in a protective boot following her Achilles tear in November.
She was injured in her last-ever game for OL Reign before retirement.
However, the 38-year-old appeared to have a great time at the wedding she attended with her partner Bird.
'Congratulations to the two most beautiful brides I ever did see,' she wrote in an Instagram post of her own. 'To a long life and long love. May you always have this much fun❤️ Thank you for a beautiful few days.'

The wedding was also attended by fellow soccer player Ali Krieger, who made 108 appearances for the USA women's national team.
Like Rapinoe, the 39-year-old Krieger also retired last month after turning out for Gotham FC this season.
Her team beat Rapinoe's in the NWSL final.
Krieger is newly divorced from former USWNT teammate Ashlyn Harris.
