A woman has died and two others, including a 16-year-old boy, have been rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds, after a triple shooting took place in Hackney tonight.
A manhunt across the capital is underway as police officers search to find the perpetrator.
Emergency services raced to Vine Close in east London just before after receiving reports of a shooting, the Metropolitan Police said.
Paramedics from London Ambulance Service desperately tried to save the 42-year-old woman but unfortunately she died at the scene.
The teenage boy and 20-year-old man were also rushed to hospital following the attack.
A murder investigation has been launched with arrests yet to be made. Officers are trying to contact the woman's next of kin to provide support.

The detective added: 'This shocking incident has resulted in the death of a young woman and my thoughts are with her family at this incredibly difficult time.
'My thoughts are also with the two people who have been taken to hospital.
'We are still in the early stages of our investigation and a team of specialist detectives are working to establish what has happened. Officers will remain at the scene overnight and will be in the area over the coming days.
'I do not underestimate the impact this incident will have on people in Hackney and I understand the community will want answers about what has happened this evening. We will share further information as our investigation progresses.
'Gun crime has no place on the streets of London and we will do all we can to bring whoever is responsible for this despicable crime to justice.'
A Scotland Yard statement said: 'A murder investigation is under way after a woman died in a shooting in Hackney.
'Police were called at 18:28hrs on Tuesday December 5 to reports of a shooting in Vine Close, E5.
'Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Three people were found with gunshot wounds.
'Despite the efforts of the emergency services, a 42-year-old woman died at the scene.
'Her next of kin are in the process of being informed and will be supported by specialist family liaison officers.
'Two other people, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, were taken to hospital where their conditions are being assessed.'
No arrests have been made.
