An elderly woman from New Jersey was arrested for murdering an 81-year-old man in his home after nurses discovered his remains.
Gary Johnson was found dead inside of his home on Lewis Drive in Mays Landing on Sunday around 5.39pm and the Hamilton Township Police Department were dispatched to the residence.
Eileen Bright, 75, was arrested and charged in connection to his death after police found Johnson with multiple wounds to his body and head.
An autopsy revealed that he was killed by blunt force trauma and stab wounds, prosecutors said on Monday.
Bright was charged with first-degree murder, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.

It is unclear how the Bright and Johnson knew each other but according to property records, they both lived in the home, located in the Woods Landing adult community.
After a pronouncement nurse confirmed his death, Johnson's body was transported to a morgue by the South Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
Bright is currently booked at the Atlantic County Justice Facility and her first court appearance is pending.
Bright has not been in trouble with the law before, records revealed.
DailyMail.com contacted the Hamilton Township Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office but did not hear back in time for this report.
According to records, Bright and Johnson purchased the three bedroom, three bathroom home in 2019 for $200,000.
