Woman begs Ryanair to change her name on flight booking to her husband's 'bit on the side' after discovering 'he's been having an affair'

A woman has begged Ryanair for a refund or to change her name on the flight booking after discovering that her husband 'was having an affair'. 

The female passenger, from Bedfordshire, wrote to the budget airline on X, formerly Twitter, and pleaded with them for replace her name in the flight details to that of her husband's 'mistress'. 

She posted on November 22: 'Hi I booked flights for myself and my husband to go away I've just found out he's having an affair! 

'Can you refund the flights or at least change my name to his bit on the side as she's welcome to him!'

The post has since gone viral and been viewed by more than four million people. 

Ryanair replied: 'Emotional baggage costs extra.' 

The company is known for its sarcastic and witty responses, particularly to customers who complain.

Its bio on X shows off its tongue-in-cheek attitude, stating: 'We sell seats, not windows.'

Hundreds of people responded, with some telling Ryanair to refund her. 

One wrote, 'REFUND HER,' with two clapping emojis. 

A second said: 'Fair play to her for giving her a free holiday.'

But others hit back at the airline to complain about its extra costs, with one user responding: 'EVERYTHING costs extra on your airline.'

However, a few found Ryanair's response hilarious, hailing it as the 'tweet of the year.'
